Snappers Hold Off Rattler Rally for 3-1 Win

Beloit takes three of four from Wisconsin

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Wisconsin Boxscore

This team just hasn't recovered yet from those deflating back to back late inning losses last weekend, it's been pretty much a tailspin since.

Trey Supak's performance was alright, nothing spectacular though he gave up just 2 runs. Miguel Diaz gave up a run in just 2 innings of work and I do understand why he's being utilized cautiously. It looks like they are making it a point to keep him below 90 innings this season, his previous high was 48.2 in the DSL back in 2013.

T-Rat batters managed just 4 hits but Luis Aviles (2-4) recorded a multi hit game.

Sky Sox Comeback Falls Short In 3-1 Loss

Hader pitches well but Sky Sox bats quieted by Isotopes.

By Aaron Cheris / Colorado Springs Sky Sox

Colorado Springs Boxscore

The Sky Sox dropped a stink bomb today. They managed a single hit against Albuquerque through the first eight innings until adding three more in the 9th inning. The team struck out 12 times.

Josh Hader turned in a solid performance, allowing three runs in six innings. He struck out six while walking only one batter. Nate Orf had two of the team's four hits.

Colorado Springs Game Log

The Sky Sox made things interesting in the 9th, getting three hits and scoring a run. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Col. Springs Bottom of the 9th

Pitching Change: Brian Schlitter replaces Shane Carle, batting 9th, replacing Brandon Barnes.

Yadiel Rivera singles on a ground ball to right fielder Raimel Tapia.

Offensive Substitution: Pinch-hitter Parker Berberet replaces Damien Magnifico.

Parker Berberet singles on a line drive to left fielder Stephen Cardullo. Yadiel Rivera to 3rd.

Kyle Wren bunt pops out to first baseman Jordan Patterson in foul territory.

Nate Orf singles on a line drive to right fielder Raimel Tapia. Yadiel Rivera scores. Parker Berberet to 2nd.

With Eric Young Jr. batting, wild pitch by Brian Schlitter, Parker Berberet to 3rd. Nate Orf to 2nd.

Eric Young Jr. called out on strikes.

Garrett Cooper grounds out, shortstop Pat Valaika to first baseman Jordan Patterson.

Final: Daytona 9, Brevard County 3

Aquino's grand slam sinks Manatees

By Donald Rieber, Jr., 27 Outs Baseball

***

Brevard County Box Score

Offensively the Manatees put together 12 hits including 4 extra base hits. Brevard County also had 4 players with multi-hit games led by Blake Allemand's 3-for-4 performance. Mentioned this yesterday, but Allemand has hit quite well over the past 3 weeks after a very tough stretch to start his second stint with the Manatees.

"4" was the magic number for starter Javi Salas who went 4.0 innings allowing 4 runs on 4 hits, 4 walks, and 4 strikeouts.

Brevard County Game Log

Unfortunately Marcos Diplan had a rough 4.0 inning outing highlighted low-lighted by a 6th inning two-out grand slam. In all Diplan surrendered 7 hits, 5 runs, and 1 walk while striking out 3.

As you hopefully read the game article addresses the status of George Iskenderian following his recent wrist injury.

Coulter stays hot, but Shuckers fall to Generals, 3-1 Sunday

Clint Coulter went 2-for-4 with a homer and has hit in all seven AA starts

Biloxi Shuckers

http://www.milb.com/assets/images/6/8/4/195652684/cuts/Coulter3_z3pdv2dw_3srhtczc.jpg

Clint Coulter has 13 hits in his first seven starts with the Shuckers, including a pair of homers.

Biloxi Boxscore

At least Jorge Lopez was better, he allowed 2 runs in his 5 innings of work. Tristan Archer had an interesting game but didn't allow a run while Junior Rincon continues his late season swoon. His ERA is now well over 8 in his last 10 appearances.

The Shuckers managed just 4 hits, so there isn't much to talk about beyond Clint Coulter's exploits which were covered in detail already.

After that fantastic start Biloxi has fallen all the way down to 58-60 on the season, which to me is extremely disappointing given the talent on this squad.

Does anyone have any info on Braden Webb? Has he had his debut yet? Sorry if I missed any previous news on him...

2014- Tommy John

2015- Rehab

2016- 102 innings

So I imagine he won't be pitching or possibly he is getting a break before a very short stint of pitching.

Well, the four full-season squads gave us nothing to cheer about, but the rookies came through --

Final: Helena 9, Orem 4

Myers, Mallen spark Brewers over Owlz 9-4 to take series

Curt Synness, Helena Independent Record

Helena Box Score

Not sure why RHP Michael Petersen's start was just one inning (and we're the only ones who spell his last name properly).

Catcher Charles Galiano hasn't played since July 21st, RHP Karsen Lindell since the 24th - given the larger roster size, there's no need for formal DL stints; we're not aware of their injury status.

Still nothing on why Brinson was pulled from AAA on Twitter... frustrating.

Brewer Prospects had a tweet also asking why, and showing a video of his groundout, after which he was pulled. Not clear if he pulled something as he wasn't visibly limping but he wasn't running hard either.
