That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Game #109, in which Gennett hits cleanup and no one bats an eye.

I was a little surprised. Maybe Carter and Perez were just overdue for off days? At that point sticking Scooter at clenup is probably more just process of elimination / spread out the lefties. I mean, Kirk fifth and Keon sixth don't scream "killer middle of the order" either. Wilkins doesn't even scream "roster spot."

I just hope Scooter looks at some pitches. I'd love to see his splits by ball-strike count.

Today's game is on WKTI 94.5 in Milwaukee. Neither mlb.com nor MLB.TV reflect that schedule adjustment.

I think Counsell is terrified to take Villar out of the leadoff spot, and Braun out of the 3 spot. Everything else is a free for all.

Villar is a beast. What fun it's been this year having a competent lead off hitter.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Yeah, for all of Villar's baserunning warts, it shouldn't overshadow what a great player, trade, and leadoff man we landed with him.

I'm always miffed by pitchers, whose sole job is to accurately throw a ball over 60 feet away into a zone that is less than 2 feet by 2 feet, that cannot accurately throw over to first to a 6 foot plus tall individual less than 60 feet away.

Because "Jr." is not part of a surname, I wonder if Rickie had to get approval from the commissioner's office to have "Weeks Jr." on his jersey.
