Jay Bruce to Mets for Max Wotell and Dilson Herrera

I haven't really seen Bruce play the field, but I've read he's ranked as the worst or one of the worst defensive players in baseball.

But he's got an .875 OPS - teams will ignore defense for that kind of production.

Nimmo isn't a bad pick of for the Reds. Not great either. If he can develop a little power he could be a regular - but that's the question for him and a lot of other guys as well. If.

This is good because it takes Braun's competition off the market and leaves LA, who has better pitching prospects anyway, to fight with division rival SF for Braun if they want to upgrade their OF.

Dominoes are going to start falling now...

He's hitting on the road this year, that's for sure. Maybe he's hit that Cespedes 29-year-old bump in power.

However, he's been pretty bad on the road in his career away from the short porches of Great American. Like, he's basically the hitter that Curtis Granderson currently is in Citi Field.

Getting something in return for Braun was just a pipe dream...

If there's one thing the Mets lack, it's a lefty hitting OF. Lucroy would help them so much more.

They should be going after someone like Valencia to help both the infield and outfield corners

They are still apparently looking at Lucroy for lineup balance. But hopefully they don't think the Bruce trade would be comparable for Lucroy. I'm not sure what the Reds were thinking
