Man, Hernan has eaten his Wheaties this year.

 

I like how he took on the challenge of making himself a better player. He took off 10-15 lbs and got faster, coupled with just getting stronger - results have been great for him. I just wish he could take some more walks. He's going to be so dependent on his batting average. That can be difficult. Even if he can get up to a 5% walk rate, it would really help. He's getting there, but it's a work in progress. Still, he's made himself a part of the future as long as he keeps hitting like he has of late.

Remember when Jimmy Nelson was a 'budding ace?'

 

Did anybody ever think that at any point? Maybe the idiots on the TV broadcast thought that with their constant "If he could just figure out how to throw more strikes/take more walks/have more power/improve certain pitch he could be (insert comparison of awesome HOF player)" but I don't remember anyone here or anyone else thinking that.
