Lucroy to Cleveland - LUCROY HAS VETOED THE TRADE

And That

Forty...two...game...hit....streak. Currently ongoing. As a 20 year old switch-hitting catcher with a cannon arm

Kinda feel like I need to repeat that 100 times here

So when Stearns trades Will Smith to Cleveland for McKenzie tommorrow, will people be happy again?

Btw, this is a big haul for lucroy...Mejia should be too young to be making big time minor league noise and Allen will be a mlb regular. Both are top 100 talents that will be on such lists 1-2 years from now.

Chang is no slouch either.

Chang seems on the trajectory towards eventually becoming a top 100-ish type prospect. Have heard some very positive reports about him over the past few weeks.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Could be future 3B? A lot of pop in that bat this year and doesn't seem likely to stick at SS long term(nor does he have a spot there on the Brewers).

I love it...people don't see Mejia on the updated top 100 and for them that is us selling low because of some list.

But the Brewers front office has Mejia in the same class or a tier below Frazier and Zimmer. So sick of these lists being taken as gospel.

Allen is a true leadoff hitter and just got to AA Akron a few weeks ago. I liked him as someone that could come up quick to augment the outfield/ lineup in Cleveland as soon as 2018, especially if Zimmer/ Frazier fall on their face. I think Brewer fans will like him.

Yu-Cheng Chang was a bit of a surprise to open at Lynchburg (only hit .232 last season, especially after getting hit in the head by a pitch in Beloit after going yard), but he has played well there year. While some consider him the top SS in the Tribe system, many wondered if he would need to move to another spot due to size concerns (& Lindor in the majors). With the other middle infield depth for the Brewers, I assume he would move to another position here too.

Enough has been said/written about Mejia. No need to rehash here.

At this point, I'm surprised there is no pitching going to Milwaukee. If there is a 4th player going to Milwaukee, I have to assume it's a pitcher.

This trade is on par in what you would expect for Lucroy. In Mejia you essentially get Lucroy frozen for 4 years. Then thawed out. That odd idea alone is worth the trade when you really think about it. Now add Chang and Allen to the mix and those are really big add ons.

The Indian fans seem to be ecstatic, and were happy about it. Let's get a few pitching prospects before Monday and roll forward.

And we wouldn't have needed Mejia as the centerpiece if Nottingham was what he was traded here to be.

I'm holding out hope the 4th guy is one of their big pitchers.

We get it. You don't like Nottingham and you don't like Stearns. Could you either attempt to back up your assertions with actual analysis, say something you haven't already said fifteen other times, or just spare us?

What more analysis do you need? Look at Nottinghams defensive stats. He won't be a catcher at the MLB level. Since Stearns didn't understand that when he traded for him, he had to trade for another catcher of the future in addition to drafting a few this year.

As for this trade, we have 70 pages or so of predictions and wish lists and very few if any are this light, if there isn't a 4th piece.

Just want to say I know pitching is what everyone wanted but this is a great trade imo. Stud young switch hitting catcher, speedy outfielder and a SS coming into his own who may project better at 3B.....pretty good of you ask me...although no one did!

:laughing It's late and I just laughed so hard my infant son woke up.

I can't wait to see what your sundae looks like if Lucroy vetos and we have to take that garbage Mets offer.
