That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I can live with Flores because he's 24 so I can at least understand what we're doing with him this year.

Nieuwenhuis is about to turn 29. He plays damn near everyday and I have no idea why. I'd rather see Kyle Wren get a shot than a guy like this who has been an established bad player for a long time.

Nieuwenhuis has zero business on this team.

Flores is amazing. Anytime you can put out a corner OF with a 280 slugging you have to give him 250 plate appearances so far. You just can't keep that guy out of the lineup.

No he is not being developed for anything. If he is the answer I would love to know the question.

As for Kirk I am assuming he is there to be a cheap tank team CF.

I would agree on Flores and I was pretty hopeful to start the year but he has shown me nothing. Plus he's kind of weird because (I believe) this kid has better career splits against lefties than righties, which ain't all that hot, but basically only hits against righties for us.

This. I get pissed off every time I see Nieuwenhuis trot out there. Hell I'm even pissed I know how to spell his name.

If your going to lose and rebuild, great, but do it with younger guys who will be part of the future.

Im still OK with the trade because there was no room for Sardines on the roster either. The question is that if you remove Flores, who to do you replace him with. Besides bringing up Broxton, i don't see any better option right now.

Sardines is a marginal player true.

Flores is literally a zero tool player. I get trading Sardines but I have no idea why anyone would trade for Flores let alone give him 250 plate appearances on a major league team.

I said before the season that i wasn't concerned about wins and losses and there was some positives in this game, but that is an awful way to lose.

If it makes you feel any better, the Cubs loaded the bases with nobody out in the 9th down 2-1 with Sczcur/Bryant/Rizzo coming up but couldn't get the ball out of the infield.
