Yea, it's not that "true" Centers are out of style, it's just that Monroe is maybe a slightly above avg overall player. There's still guys like Boogie, Anthony Davis, Karl Anthony Towns, Embiid, Jokic, Whiteside, Gobert. Now some of those guys can stretch the floor more than others but they can all play in the post. And they can all play defense better than Monroe.

Anyone in for a Brandon Jennings reunion? We need guard depth in the worst of ways...

The Bucks already have Beasley jacking up bad shots they don't need another in Jennings.

Tough for beggars to be choosers at this point of the year...I think i'd rather have Jennings jacking up bad shots and making 40% of them than watch Dellavadova and Snell do absolutely nothing night after night. It takes real talent to put up a stat sheet donut in 28 minutes like Snell did the other night.

So we need more of Snell and Dellavedova? Jennings is not better than either of those two and you take a rather big step back defensively replacing Dellavedova with Jennings. Jennings is a horrible defender while Dellavedova is actually average to above average defensively. Jennings just doesn't really add anything to the Bucks that they already have in Snell, Dellavedova, and Beasley. If Snell or Dellavedova weren't on the team then yeah I could see adding Jennings but why have 4 of the same players on the team it just doesn't make much sense.

The team needs warm bodies. I don't like Jennings much but Giannis can't do it all as we saw tonight. Jennings could add a little more of a punch off the bench that we're sorely lacking in. Now Beasley is hurt and who knows how long he'll be out.

Jennings could clearly play Terry's minutes and Middleton's when he sits back to backs. But what's the point? I'd rather play Vaughn and see how he does, they're not winning anything this year anyway.

Yea, may as well play Maker and Vaughn a ton. See what you got, plus lose some more games and earn more pin pong balls. Just really a bummer it has come to this. Two years ago they were in the playoffs and gave the Bulls all they wanted- and that was without Jabari. Really looked like they were on the rise, and ever since then nothing but bad decisions and injuries.

Rashard Vaughn has been on the team all season. He can play. No need to bring in a malcontent like Jennings.

Does JKidd know he's on the team? I think Vaughn lets himself in once in awhile but not sure anybody's watching. Really ridiculous considering our lack of depth, either he's THAT bad or somebody's inept.

Beasley takes dumb shots yes, but look around who's on the court and where. He get's a pass from Snell, Maker, Vaughn, Henson those types and the other 3 on the court generally stands and watch. Beasley notices his lack of team and puts up shots. You can't blame him if no one on the floor is moving that wants to score. Guys like Snell, Henson, Maker, and Vaughn currently are thinking pass first if they've taken a dribble. Their shots are taken when they are on the receiving end of a kickout pass.

I just don't know about Delly anymore. He's up then down bad. Monroe gets beaten up with a lot of no calls, some of them lead to turnovers as he loses the ball being hacked.

Delly, Henson, Snell are all types they need to move on from. Terry as well. I thought they'd be better with the talent, but it's not as talented as I thought.

There's a spot for Delly, but it is as a backup PG, not as a starting PG like we paid him for. Snell was just a turd for a turd trade (MCW), no big deal.

There's actually a few FA guards this year (Holiday, Teague, Hill, Collison, Rose). Not saying I want a specific one although Holiday would probably be the preference, but at least there's a few options out there. Zero centers out there IIRC which I think is what we need most, maybe Monroe can finally get dealt. Forwards just like Blake (staying) and Ibaka, thank god Hammond will be gone or he'd run and put a dump truck load of money in front of Jeff Green or something.

Snell has been perfectly fine, one of the best 3pt shooters in the league since the new year, over 50%. Who knows what kind of stupid offer he gets this offseason, but his game has been fine and a clear quality rotation piece. I just hope we don't drop 60 mil on him.

Stuck with $61MM of bad contracts next season, still $32 MM in 2018 and $20MM in 2019.

Not too bad after next season, but that's still a lot. Very important in the NBA to have 3 or so big contracts to great players, then round out the roster with very cheap contributors. Brogdon, Beasley, Snell filled that role perfectly this season. But now if you turn around and offer big money to someone like Snell you're just continuing the problem.

They basically need to rebuild from the bottom with Giannis and Brogdon. We don't even know if Middleton and/or Jabari can make it back. Jury is out on how much Maker can give you. Monroe contact hurts, and it would be great if they could shed one of Dely/Teletovic.

Point being, I don't expect things to be much better next season and I really fear they keep signing mediocre players to 3-4 deals in the $10-$15MM range just to try to be competitive.

Yup, this is exactly what the Bucks do. Justify them all by saying that's the market value and others are getting. Yea, they're getting it from crappy teams. Good teams don't overpay for backups. Money has to go to the difference makers and the rest needs to be spent efficiently.

IMO we have to think positive on Middleton as still being capable of being the #3 man on a title team. Need to save our money for the #2 guy somehow, trade and resign, just sign a FA, draft and resign, etc. Instead we'll below our load on Snell and overpay someone else's currently underpaid C. Who then loses his value once he's making 15 mil per year. I'd be holding out that last big salary slot for a real difference maker at PG. I like Brogdon as much as everyone else but might be better off with him (as a title contender) as the jack of all trades backup. Or in the Patrick Beverly type mold next to good PG, assuming we don't re-sign Snell. I just long to see Giannis as a deadly roll man playing PnR with a big threat at PG. Giannis would be devastating in that role. He's unstoppable once he gets a crease in the paint.

Yes, I think he is a large part of the problem. Many of these players brought in were useful on their previous teams, and go to pot on the Bucks. I don't think he knows what he's doing. The problem in firing him is that I think the casual fan knows his name, and I think he's a draw. I think the owners are somewhat starstruck by him, being basketball fans.
