Should have been called out -- going back to Thursday night in Idaho Falls:

IDAHO FALLS, ID - With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 5th, Manny Olloque came to bat for Idaho Falls with runners on first and third and two outs. He grounded a ball to short. Trever Morrison dove, gloved it, and popped up firing the ball across the diamond to an outstretched Ronnie Gideon. Olloque was called safe, Rudy Martin came in to score, and the Idaho Falls Chuckars never looked back, scoring six unanswered runs to defeat the Helena Brewers 9-3 on Thursday night at Melaleuca Field.

The looping Vine is mesmerizing as you analyze it, though.

Zach Clark making his pro debut as a DH in tonight's Baby Brewers game.

Corbin Burnes might not be long for Wisconsin. His advanced stuff is probably more suited to Brevard, or possibly Biloxi.

Gabriel Garcia is a monster. Very early leader for find of the 2016 draft class. Too bad he's apparently not a catcher.

Rattlers Rally Late to Beat Dragons 5-3

Wisconsin score three runs in the eighth for win at Dayton

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Wisconsin Boxscore

Zack Brown was alright in his Rattler debut, his 3 runs came off of a HR and a 3B. Corbin Burnes gave up 5 hits in his 4 scoreless innings but also had 4 strike outs.

Mitch Ghelfi (3-5,3B), Isan Diaz (3-5), Max McDowell (2-3,2B,BB), and Alan Sharkey (2-4) all had multi hit games. I'm out of superlatives when it comes to Ghelfi, I'll just point out that he has multi hit games in 8 of his 10... once again that's multi hit games, not just "a" hit.

Javier Betancourt had one of Biloxi's three hits and stretched his hitting streak to nine games. (Michael Krebs)

Biloxi Boxscore

Wei-Chung Wang and Tyler Spurlin struggled here allowing all 9 runs in just 5.1 IP between them.

The Shuckers were held to just 3 hits by a relatively unimpressive trio of opposing pitchers, just a disappointing effort all the way around.

Final: Tacoma 7, Colorado Springs 2

Sky Sox Fall 7-2 To Rainiers

Sky Sox produce just three hits in third straight loss

By Aaron Cheris / Colorado Springs Sky Sox

Colorado Springs Box Score

Disappointing showing for RHP Aaron Wilkerson for sure in this one; at the risk of going all "clancyfile" on you (Suter's biggest fan), LHP Brent Suter has been bumped from one role to another more than any Brewers' AAA pitcher in recent memory - one inning of scoreless middle relief here; if RHP Austin Ross is still pumping mid-90's heat, he'll get more looks in big league spring camp.

Colorado Springs Game Log

LF Kyle Wren walked twice from the leadoff spot and added a sacrifice fly; 1B Josmil Pinto reached twice; big night for Nori Aoki

Final: Jupiter 3, Brevard County 1

Peralta has solid outing in first Manatees start

By Donald Rieber, Jr., 27 Outs Baseball

***

As usual the game story includes excellent photos, quotes, and an overall recap of the game so make sure to check it out.

Brevard County Box Score

Freddy Peralta's first start with the Manatees went well, 5.0 innings, 3 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, and 4 strike outs. As noted in the game story Peralta also flashed some defensive prowess on the mound.

The other half of tonight's tandem, Jon Perrin was solid as well over 4.0 innings pitched, giving up 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 1 walk, and 5 strike outs.

Corey Ray (2-for-4, 2B) recorded his first extra base hit as a professional. He also extended his hitting streak to 7 games, 5 of which have been multi-hit games. The streak has raised Ray's BA to .255, but with only one walk thus far his OBP remains a paltry .259. Ray was thrown out trying to swipe second base, it is the second time he has been caught stealing in 3 attempts this season.

The only other Brevard County batter with two hits was Wendell Rijo (2-for-4, 2B) who added a stolen base as well.

Final: Arizona Brewers 9, Arizona White Sox 0

Yeah, this'll work...

Maryvale Box Score

Guess we should acknowledge the big "8" in the error column for the White Sox kids. Four of the A-Crew runs were "unearned".

Still, a nice showing -- as noted above, 20-year-old 19th round JUCO pick Zach Clark, DH'ing in his debut, notched his first pro base hit; 19-year-old 6th round catcher Payton Henry had his best game of the season, 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI; two singles for 3B Chad McClanahan (one caught stealing).

Gabriel Garcia is a monster. Very early leader for find of the 2016 draft class. Too bad he's apparently not a catcher.

Written before a 3-for-4 (plus a walk) effort, including the first pro home run for the 6'3" 18-year-old RH corner infielder. OPS now 1.203 after seven games. One thing about the Puerto Rico-born Garcia is that despite not being 19 until December, he already has a year of junior college under his belt.

LHP Christian Trent made his season debut; we don't know what type of injury he's been rehabbing. The 23-year-old 24th round pick in 2015 out of Ole' Miss spent last season (save for one Maryvale outing), in Helena. Four others pitched well in the shutout effort, review the box for the names, please.

Maryvale Game Log

Weather: 105 degrees, clear.

Wind: 6 mph, Out to CF.

Payton Henry left after scoring a run in the 6th, but given the game conditions (and a 9-0 score at the time), we'll never question catchers being lifted mid-game in the desert.

Final: Helena 13, Ogden 5

Brewers Rout Raptors 13-5

Walters Fans Seven in Four Innings

Helena Brewers

OGDEN, UT - The Helena Brewers came out swinging on Saturday night at Lindquist Field, opening game of a four game series with the Ogden Raptors with a 13-5 victory that snapped a five game losing streak.

The win was the first road victory for the Brewers since June 25 in Great Falls, and featured a welcome combination of timely hitting and effective pitching.

Gilbert Lara opened the scoring with a two-out three-run double in the top of the 1st, and Lucas Erceg gave the Brewers a 5-2 lead in the top of the 2nd with a two-out two-run single.

The Raptors, however, came back to tie it in the bottom of the 2nd, and the game went into the 4th tied 5-5.

That's when the Brewers began a string of eight unanswered runs, the first coming on a Yeraldy Martinez leadoff home run - his 6th of the season. Wes Wilson capped the four run inning with a two-out two-run double, and from that point the bullpen took over.

With a 9-5 lead, Santos Saldivar tossed a scoreless bottom of the 4th. Nash Walters (1-0) took over in the 5th. The 19-year-old displayed electric stuff, striking out seven in four innings of work, allowing just one hit and touching 97 MPH on the radar gun.

In the meantime the Brewers offense continued to tear up Ogden pitching, adding four more runs, including a two-run home run from Lara - his first of the year.

Lara finished the game with five RBIs, he entered the game with just two in his first 22 games this season. Three Brewers - Caleb Whalen, Erceg and Jonathan Oquendo finished with three hits apiece, and eight of the nine starters recorded at least one hit.

The Brewers will look to make it two in a row on Sunday when they send out Michael Petersen to start a 4:00 matinee (3:00 Central).

Helena Box Score

The long-awaited breakout (hopefully) Pioneer League game for Gilbert Lara, nice; CF Caleb Whalen scored four times from the leadoff spot; Lucas Erceg doing Lucas Erceg things at the plate; with the Helena player pages now including photos, we can see why Yerald Martinez is smiling, he's slugging .515 --

Helena Game Log

It's been a struggle for 15th round RHP Scott Serigstad.

Despite three walks in seven innings, we'll enjoy the description of Nash Walters' night you read above...

Gabe Garcia now 9 for his last 15 with 5 extra base hits among them. He was a highly regarded catcher in 2015, sporting one of the best pop times for a catcher that year....would like to see that remain in his tool belt at the very least as he moves up the line
