That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Is that four backwards Ks (in five innings) by Brewers hitters? Geez.

I get that it's going to happen sometimes, but it really aggravates me when a guy K's looking with a man on 3rd and 1 out. Especially in a tie game.

Looked like he was bunti g for a hit to me which means he did it on his own. He didn't square around.

Our bench is just so bad......I guess they don't have other options that they like better but yikes.....

You might be right, just listening on the radio. I probably overreacted anyway, the sac bunt has its uses, just don't like Presley being the guy there, but like you said, not many options, not that anyone in this lineup can come up with a big hit anyway.

That's probably the game anyway now...

I really want to see Nieuwenhuis DFA'ED if Liriano comes back this year.

It's not that I think he's the worst player in the world. He's a decent 5th outfielder for a contending team. But he is nowhere near the type of player that should play every day for a team like the 2016 Brewers, and I'd rather us not even have that option.

He just adds zero value to a rebuilding club. Why not just promote Kyle Wren and at least evaluate him at the MLB level for half a season?

Alex is out of options and was outrighted twice last year. I suppose he could accept another outright, but I think he'd either be released or elect free agency.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Presley can go but I don't see why we would bring up Wren who is basically a left fielder. He's not going to play over Braun. And Reed isn't a CF either and he's had a lousy AAA season.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Wren has played far more in CF than any other position in his career, so I don't see why he would be limited to a corner. There wouldn't be any point to bringing him up unless it was as a CF. I don't know much about Wren, but I know Gord Ash called him a 'true CF' when they traded for him.

I'd just rather see him get a shot there than the current status quo and Phillips hasn't shown enough this year to make the jump here yet.

Why are we pitching Nelson to Harper after he proceeds to load the bases via walks (2 outs), if there is an intention of pulling Nelson to PH at 90 pitches (with a no hitter) at the bottom of the same inning? I understand that we had a double, but Hernan Perez isn't exactly my idea of a "must get an at bat" guy. IMO you gotta ride that horse into the next inning if you make that choice, not bail out. It just irritates me a bit because Will Smith is sitting there in the pen for the L/LHP matchup against an elite batter, and CC opts to keep the struggling pitcher out there? He darn near gave up a grand slam to end the game because of it.

Because of the situation this year it isn't a huge deal, but small things like this are going to hurt us down the road if they are not corrected/learned from. At least from my armchair viewpoint. I guess it irritates me because of late hes also pulled pitchers (Davies namely) who are on their game at 80-90 pitches too. It seems like there is little rhyme or reason to what's going on at times.

It's probably because this is a pointless season that he stayed in. Nelson is the de facto ace going into next year. Why not see if the guy can get out the best hitters in baseball when he needs to.
