Also, what is the status of Carlos Leal? Assuming he is injured, but do we know what the injury was and when he's expected to get back into action this year?

For those who asked: C Carlos Leal is out for the season after undergoing shoulder surgery, and 1B Tyrone Perry will open with Arizona Brewers.

 

That really has to torpedo Leal's slim prospect hopes. He will be 25 and starting at A+ ball next year. This wasn't how I wanted to resolve the Houle/Leal fight for playing time at Brevard either... :(
