Biloxi used 5 pitchers to nail this one down, Javier Salas started and struggled again, his style just hasn't been working for him for much of the year. He's put up the occasional gem, but they've been too few and far between. He has nearly as many as walks as strike outs on the season which is never a good sign for a pitcher.

 

Give Jacob Nottingham another month and he could be floating around a very respectable .275.

Over his two innings pitched Cody Ponce faced eight batters and threw 34 pitches, 26 of which were strikes. He did walk a batter, so the other four balls were spread over seven hitters. Final line for Ponce was one hit, one earned run, one walk, three strikeouts.

 

The teams with the lowest slugging percentages in the FSL combined for 19 hits, 5 extra base hits and 11 runs. For the Manatees three batters had multi-hit games including George Iskenderian (2-for-3), Clint Coulter (2-for-4, double), and Angel Ortega (2-for-5, double).

 

Dustin DeMuth returned to the lineup going 1-for-4 and was hit by a pitch.
