For those interested in watching Corey Ray play in the NCAA Super Regionals, Louisville is hosting UC Santa Barbara today at 11:00 AM CT on ESPN2. Will also play tomorrow at the same time on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

More crooked numbers for the DSL Brewers. Marcos Pinero with 4 walks, Josue Herrera 3-6, Jay Feliciano with a HR. Always good to beat the Cardinals.

Nice Monte Harrison article on Milb talking about his approach at the plate.

Harrison seems to ha e found his power stroke

A double by @_DavidD_41 in the 7th brings Harrison to the plate...3-2 pitch...HARRISON to left & deep! Gone for @Team_Harrison3! TIE GAME!!

Nice return game for Houser

Welcome back Adrian Houser. Two more strikeouts in the 5th. He has 7 now through 5 IP, UER, 3 H, 0 BB.

Wisconsin wins 5-4 in Kane County

Harrison homers again for the Rattlers

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Wisconsin Boxscore

The pitching was good in this one, though Freddy Peralta was just so/so by the earlier standard he set, his ERA still recovering from that 6 run out burst he allowed on 5/28.

I don't want to say Monte Harrison (2-4,HR) has turned a corner because we've seen these 5 game streaks from him before, but it's awesome to see him contributing nightly as of late. He's hit in 5 of his last 6 with 4 multi hit games, has pushed his AVE to .210, and is now hitting .318 over his last 10 games. Speaking of young hitters climbing the ladder Isan Diaz (2-3,BB) has been hitting well in this recent stretch of games as well, batting .323 over his last 10, and still is leading the Rattlers in the walk department (27) over David Denson (2-4,2B) who has 26. Max McDowell was perfect at the plate (2-2,2B,2 BB) and continues his fine season to date.

Adrian Houser tossed a season-high seven innings and struck out eight on Saturday (Michael Krebs)

Biloxi Boxscore

After a rough start and bit of a roller coaster in May Adrian Houser has been excellent his last two times out and though his ERA is still well over 5, it's heading in the right direction.

Biloxi was out hit 9-5 but managed 4 runs on those 5 hits because of the 2 HRs.

The Sky Sox had a good opportunity to get on the board in the first, but the Memphis defense shut down the chance. After Orlando Arcia tripled to center, Will Middlebrooks hit a fly ball to left field that he hoped would be a sacrifice fly. But Memphis left fielder Nick Martini made the catch and fired home to catcher Michael McKenry to get Arcia out at the plate trying to score.

Wow, would not have guessed Arcia could have been thrown out considering this particular fly ball --

DSL Brewers Box Score

The game's ten combined pitchers walked 16, and struck out 26 (13 K's for each staff).

20-year-old rookie RH reliever Johan Dominguez has been stellar, staff MVP thus far, check out the small sample work at the link.

Despite one error here, this group of position players has only committed four errors through six games, that's really something at this level.

Ouch -- the holes filled in for the previously slap-happy SS Luis Avila, 0-for-7 in this one.

OF Marcos Pinero was 0-for-2 but walked four times. He had a .373 OBP in his 2015 rookie campaign.

First pro hit for catcher Moises Perez, 1-for-3 with a walk here.

Not so for OF Yorki Franco, now 0-for-8, but did walk in an 0-for-5 game Saturday.

***

Brevard County Box Score

Wild walk-off finish in this one, check out the article and the game log for the details.

Ten strikeouts recorded by Manatees pitchers led by starter Angel Ventura's seven strikeouts. Ventura has struck out 53 batters in 49.1 innings this season. Ventura allowed just two hits and one walk over his 6.0 innings worked and improved his season WHIP to 1.24.

Malik Collymore was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Collymore has hit safely in 8 of his last 9 games.

The only multi-hit effort was Omar Garcia who finished 2-for-4 and a walk..

Brevard County Game Log

The Manatees walk-off winning frame was hitless and ended by very unlikely means.

Only 10 games, but appears Monte is starting to click a bit! Still WAY to many Ks & his BBs are down from where they should be. (In both rookie leagues he was over a 10% BB guy). I always compare him to Rickie Weeks and this is why! He can either be the worst or best player in the league for stretches. Like Weeks, there are stretches where they are unbelievable stars offensively. There are other stretches where they couldn't look any more lost at the plate.

Just saw something on Trent Clark ditching that golf swing grip. Didn't know of that change.

Didn't remember reading he did that. I remember always finding it odd that JJ Hardy used a golf grip, but never heard it discussed
