When RHP Tyler Cravy is activated Wednesday, Sky Sox will need to make a roster move. Some ERA-busting outings here - RHP Austin Ross isn't going anywhere, but when he has a blow-up outing, he really has one...

MH--

Today's DSL game is in and they now have yesterday's game as well. Brewers were 1-1.

Thanks...

Monday's DSL Game --

Final: DSL Brewers 6, DSL Angels 2

DSL Brewers Box Score

There were two professional debuts in this game, RH relievers Henry Medina (18, Venezuela ) and Daniel Acosta (19, D.R.). Medina's line was especially pretty (as always for the Brewers, Viva Venezuela!).

19-year-old 2nd year Venezuelan RHP Maiker Pinto (listed as Joel, his middle name, on Brewers' rosters), allowed only one unearned run in five innings (one BB, one HBP, 3 K).

DSL Brewers Game Log

More fun from the two 17-year-old's atop the batting order, 4-for-10.

18-year-old Puerto Rico native Bryan Torres made his season debut, not behind the plate, but as the DH. Third-year pro Josue Herrera, who played first base in the opener, sat out with Torres jumping into the lineup, the only change from game one in terms of position player personnel.

LF Marcos Pinero was plunked twice by pitches, but was caught stealing for the 3rd time in three attempts after just two games.

***

Four-run inning --

DSL Brewers Top of the 5th

Javier Castillo walks.

Luis Manon out on a sacrifice bunt, pitcher Lianmy Galan to first baseman Oswaldo Garcia. Javier Castillo to 2nd.

Luis Avila singles on a line drive to left fielder Rayneldy Rosario. Javier Castillo to 3rd.

Jesus Lujano singles on a line drive to center fielder Johan Sala. Javier Castillo scores. Luis Avila to 3rd. Jesus Lujano to 2nd on the throw.

Jose Sibrian doubles (1) on a line drive to left fielder Rayneldy Rosario. Luis Avila scores. Jesus Lujano scores.

Jay Feliciano strikes out swinging.

Bryan Connell doubles (1) on a line drive to left fielder Rayneldy Rosario. Jose Sibrian scores.

Marcos Pinero grounds out, shortstop Leonardo Rivas to first baseman Oswaldo Garcia.

Tuesday's DSL Game --

Final: DSL Nationals 1, DSL Brewers 0

Bummer...

DSL Brewers Box Score

Brewer batters did not draw a walk and fanned 11 times. Brewer pitchers walked two and struck out seven.

The two first-year RHP's who came in and did nice relief work each worked Saturday as well. I was told the Brewers may look to players released by other organizations to fortify a staff which is set at 13 pitchers, that's low in DSL terms.

The mound pro debut of 18-year-old Venezuelan RHP Harold Chirino was just fine -5 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 6 K. The Nationals threw a 2nd-year Dominican 18-year-old LHP who dazzled with no walks and ten K's in his five innings. The young man posted middling numbers last season.

DSL Brewers Game Log

Three More Pro Debuts!

17-year-old RHP OF Yorki Franco made his pro debut, 0-for-3 with two K's, but wins the day because his name is Yorki Franco.

17-year-old catcher Luis Avalo played his first pro game, 0-for-3 but didn't K. He was victimized for four stolen bases, did throw out one. He handled the pitchers nicely given the score.

2B Edwin Sano (yes, 17), a switch-hitter, singled on a ground ball to right in the 6th for his first hit, finished 1-for-3 (one K).

***

1B Jay Feliciano (with stateside college experience) on base thrice, including a double, and we're going to learn quickly that he should be in Maryvale.

***

How the game's only run scored --

DSL Nationals Top of the 2nd

Brailin Mesa doubles (1) on a line drive to left fielder Yorki Franco.

Adanlis Martinez singles on a ground ball to third baseman Josue Herrera. Brailin Mesa to 3rd.

Andri De Los Santos grounds into a double play, shortstop Luis Avila to second baseman Edwin Sano to first baseman Jay Feliciano. Adanlis Martinez out at 2nd.

Jose Cabello singles on a line drive to center fielder Jesus Lujano. Brailin Mesa scores.

Luis Aquino strikes out swinging.

Infield was back, but runner didn't try to score on the GIDP?

Gotta love the DSL!

Max McDowell went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, and was hit by a pitch for the Rattlers on Tuesday night. (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers/Ann Mollica)

Wisconsin Boxscore

Well David Burkhalter stumbled again... darn. Blake Allemand (2-3) and Max McDowell (2-3,2B) had nice games as the Rattlers were rather quiet offensively.

Wow, eight! Impressive for the Midwest League - eight-team divisions represented.

Diaz and Gatewood are All-Stars, but Allemand isn't?

Presumably, the voting was largely done before Allemand went on his hot streak.
