DirecTV / AT&T Bundles

Until you're able to record on streaming services, I just can't do it. I record basically everything and watch at a later date.

People still record shows?

I thought that died out a few years ago.

I hardly watch anything live. Sports are about it and even that's changed a bit.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

About the only thing I watch live is sports (and every now and again record those too). Virtually EVERYTHING else I watch on TV I record with DVR and watch it at a later date - I don't even know when most shows are on to be honest.

With two small kids that have swimming, gymnastics, tee ball, etc, not to mention actually playing with them and doing other things around the house, I rarely have time to sit down and watch TV before they go to bed - and if I do, it's sports. There's also a lot of shows that I like that would overlap the sporting events I like to watch, so having the DVR and being able to record anything I want is a huge priority. Honestly...just about everyone I know has a DVR of some kind and records shows.

I can't use a DVR. I'd rather flip through channels to see what's live

Paul, we had an issue at our 2nd home where the DTV dish had some micro-flaws that developed over 6 years. They put a new dish on the mount and it works flawlessly again. That might be the fix you need.

I decided to go with directv now and my results are mixed. For the most part it's alright. Definitely saves me a lot of money. But for the last four nights I've been having all sorts of problems with buffering. It's so bad that it makes it almost unwatchable. In fact I'm actually watching the CFB national championship game on the WatchESPN app because it's the only way I can watch it without it constantly stopping to buffer. It's really, really obnoxious and something that if they don't fix soon will cause me to drop it. I realize it's new and I've read that that they have more customers than they expected but this is a deal breaker. I paid up for three months to get the free Apple TV so that's how long I'm giving them.

It has been three months or so since we cut the cord. Great decision!!!! We went with Playstation VUE and there have been times where buffering has been an issue for more popular games. It buffered once or twice during the National Championship game last night.

2 Roku Streaming Sticks, 1 Roku Express, 1 happy customer.
