That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

No, really, what are you doing?

This is the same jackwagon that was at 1st base last night, which actually explains a lot. I have no idea how he made it to the majors but he needs to be sent to Little League.

Edit: Half inning later pitch 6 is a called strike.

Davies didn't get the memo that we have a rested/fresh pen! 8 innings of shutout ball against the Cards? He's my new favorite player!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Davies is dealing today!

Our pitching has really come around lately.

The pitching has been quite good overall for about a month now. It's weird, especially with how bad it was to start the season.

OK...where did you guys get this Davies wunderkind!?? :(

He did this to the Cubs last September when they were clubbing everybody. Shut them out over 6 IP on 2 hits. Was a steal for Gerardo Parra. Hitters think they are facing pitcher from local high school JV team.

Agreed! Just imagine where we would be if the pitching wasn't so [expletive deleted by moderator] to start.

He appears to be a seasoned pitcher! The kid could be the next Maddux....as if there isn't enough crazy lights out starters around nowadays.

Well, our hitting is no good, but yeah, we'd probably have a few more wins.

No offense to Dead Simmons, but one of the quickest ways to my Brewer fan heart is to be effective vs. STL. I was already taken with Zach when we met him as part of a SSH thing last fall, but the fan crush is all there now. :)
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Buck Showalter reportedly was very upset to learn the O's had traded him last year for a rental.

If this turns out to be the case imagine O's fans.

First they give up on Arrieta. Then they trade Davies for 1/2 season of Gerardo Parra.

That little guy can pitch, only 23 too.. Struggled a bit early on the season but he made the Cardinals look foolish today

'Only 23' might apply in general to a 23 year old in the big leagues, but with Zach you have to say "He's actually 23, honest."
