We really hope folks are taking regular looks at the media notes / blogs linked in the prior post. So many great nuggets from all three outposts, and Dan in Colorado Springs has really lifted their game with the new Sky Sox blog. Fantastic!

As per our thread title today:

You Go To Rehab, and You Go To Rehab, and You Go To Rehab!

Look for Domingo Santana in Biloxi, Corey Knebel with the Manatees in Lakeland, and Matt Garza on the mound in Peoria, all tonight.

Gilbert Lara, SS, Milwaukee Brewers

Current Level: Extended Spring Training, Age: 18.2, Height/Weight: 6’2/190

Signed: $3.1M in 2014, Dominican Republic

Lara got a $3.1 million bonus back in 2014 and has been up and down since arriving stateside for instructional league that fall. Scout opinions on his future defensive home have been as disparate as I’ve ever experienced. Some consider him a long-term shortstop while others think he’ll eventually end up at first base. The actions are of infield quality right now and Lara has 70 arm projection, but he’s such a big kid that it’s hard to see him playing anywhere more valuable than third base. He clearly has plus bat speed and when Lara connects the ball explodes, but he’s struggling to put together good at-bats right now. His swing is long in the back and his hands are a mess. Lara won’t turn 19 until October 30th, so there’s plenty of time for him to iron these things out and he’s so clearly talented that he’ll be given every opportunity to do so, but he’s squarely off the “meteoric rise” radar right now.

Nottingham up to .250 BA. Hit .300 in May. Hopefully he continues to heat up.

Woodruff back to doing Woodruff things. Each start he has improved. Control hasn't been there yet though. He is a curious prospect. Flanigan had good words to say about him & that he is a guy they are excited for.

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

FORMERLY BrewCrewWS2008 and YoungGeezy don't even remember other names used

Between the game story and the previous comments in the thread I was beaten to the punch so I have nothing to add!

Rattlers drop game one in Peoria

Chiefs beat Rattlers 5-1

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Matt Garza tossed two innings in a rehabilitation start for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Tuesday night in Peoria. (Peoria Chiefs/Allison Rhoades)

Wisconsin Boxscore

I didn't like the Matt Garza signing from the start, well to be fair I hardly liked a single FA singing the organization made during Melvin's tenure so he was pretty much par for the course. He hasn't pitched in a long time so hopefully this is just a road to better days ahead with the MLB club, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Marcos Diplan finally limits the walks but then falls apart in the 8th giving up back to back triples and then a single to score 2 runs. I'm struggling to compare him to a former Brewer prospect as I honestly keep coming up blank.

The offense was almost entirely Blake Allemand (2-4,2B) and Isan Diaz (2-3,BB), Allemand has been on some kind of hot streak lately, he's hitting .429 over his last 10 and Diaz has bumped his AVE back up to .212 hitting in 5 of his last 6 games.

Sky Sox Postpone Tuesday's Game Due To Heavy Rain

Game will be made up as part of a double header on Wednesday, June 1

Colorado Springs Sky Sox

That's why they didn't get a rehab...among other reasons, although it would have been fun to see Domingo Santana return to his PCL dominance days. Seems Domingo had fun anyway...
