Of course, nobody in the media is talking about Ryan Braun, who has now gotten on base in 27 straight games, and is hitting .394 in the month of May.

If he keeps it up, and stays healthy, I guarantee they will be talking about him by July 1.

People are not talking about him now because of his nagging injuries and large salary.

The brewers have played 46 total games and Braun has appeared in only 38. That's a 75% clip and means Braun is on pace to play in only 121 games. At his salary level, I would think teams would want at least 140 games out of him.

The first out of the game has been overturned upon review. I assume that we have a different first base ump tonight.

The Braves have only won twice at Turner Field all year. That's a record for whatever number of games they've played.

The look on Wily's face after Flowers' two-run homer was definitely a Kodak moment.

I always hear about how bad Carter's defense is, but more often than not I see him scooping those low throws and saving errors. On eye test alone he sure feels far superior to what we had with Juan Francisco.

The look on Wily's face after he knocked in two runs to tie the game was a Kodak moment too.

Range is a big problem for him. He can't get far and when he does it usually isn't pretty missing plays a decent 1st baseman can make.

It is passable, but no doubt below average.

Um, 38 of 46 games played is 83%, not 75%. On a pace to play 134 games. I agree he needs to avoid missing time, but the guy's doing pretty well for having off season back surgery. And why would a guy's salary have any impact on commenting on what a great season he is having?

Braun's hitting .361 with 9 HR and 30 RBI, OPS of 1.026. He's second in batting, third in SLG and OPS. What he makes is irrelevant, unless you're discussing his being trade bait. If you're talking about the best players in the game right now, Braun is clearly one of them.

Villar with the knock. Beginning to become a big favorite of mine. Fun to watch!

dlk9s and pogokat are getting rained on.

Ha!

We finally gave up when the game was delayed. Got home about 20 minutes ago and the game just now re-started.

We had very good seats and were amongst the few that didn't seek cover. It was hot today, so the rain felt good. We considered getting out of the rain when it started coming down hard, but my son didn't want to, so we said, "Screw it" and stayed in the rain. We were soaked head to toe by the time we got to the car. Had to peel our clothes off when we got home.

In between innings before the delay, we were talking to an usher. He had to go attend to something and came back a little later with a Brewers fan. The fan was sitting near the Brewers dugout and was given a ball by a player before the game. He had told the usher he wanted to find a kid Brewers fan to give it to and the usher told him he had a couple for him. So, he came over and gave my son the ball. We got a certificate of authentication from the customer relations desk on our way out. So cool.

In my 40 years, I have never gotten a ball at any game.

Keon Broxton is bad at baseball.

2 more K's tonight. Time for Keon to head back to AAA and Reed to come up...

A OF Ops'ing under .700 at Colorado Springs? No thanks.
