probably good that he gets playing time in AAA with Hill being on fire and Perez playing good ball of late, but i still would have preferred getting rid of Walsh and keeping Rivera's glove in Milwaukee.

too bad he's coming back so soon in a way, because it moves perez to the bench who, yeah, has been great lately. hopefully, he'll get some more consistent playing time to showcase his improvements after Hill is gone.

Perez can still get plenty of starts. I just hope he gets almost all of those opportunities instead of Walsh.

Walsh has shown very good OBP skills. I don't think his BAbip will stay at .167 all season. If it goes to average, then we could see his OBP go to over .400. His sample size is too small, and I think the OBP skills are enough to keep him around.

 

Plus, Rivera had options. Why risk losing Walsh or Perez if we don't have to?
