2016-05-09 Brewers (Peralta) at Marlins (Fernández), 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 4-1]

4ks Walsh today. Including#4 in the midst of 9th inning walk fest. Rivera 3, Presly 3.

I knew Walsh came with bb rate. But his inability to bat near just the Mendoza line...

54 XBHs last year. 1 thus far. 4hits total so Ks equaled his total hits on season! Wearing out his welcome. I want to be patient but that comes with improvements. He's started 6/10games. 1hit 4bbs now 9ks and lowered a .500OPS. Moving on I'd expect when Gennett returns.

I've seen enough of Walsh. With guys like Arcia, Orf, Rivera, Middlebrooks and Cecchini in the organization I just dont see a reason to keep trotting out Walsh. Offer him back to the A's. If they decline, then great, send him to AAA.

Is Walsh really much different than Nate Orf? Orf is probably better defensively with Walsh being a switch hitter. The Brewers also have to make a 40 man roster decision on Orf after the season. Ultimately it isn't real hard to keep Walsh on the team all year but those 40 man spots can be pretty valuable after the season.

Why is there no way for umpires to communicate to the fans and viewing audience what happened in baseball? The NFL has a guy that is mic'd up and explains stuff that needs explaining.

In baseball they just go on their merry way and don't give a care in the world if the onlookers get an explantion as to what in the world just happened.

Reminds me of a Brewer game against the Yankees about 30 years ago where New York scored a run and no one knew but the umps. The score on the scoreboard was wrong and the final score reported on the national media was wrong.
