Latest Prospect Hot Sheet via Baseball America

A Brewer farmhand appears at #14, give it a think, then a click, keep it post-free here...

Remember, this feature simply recognizes what the hottest prospects in the minors did in the past week—it’s not a re-ranking of the Baseball America Top 100 Prospects.

Whitecaps win wild one over Wisconsin

West Michigan tops Rattlers 3-1 in odd game

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Wisconsin Boxscore

The pitching was pretty stellar again, just 2 ER in the 9 innings and Jon Perrin's day was chronicled earlier in the thread. Jon has 57 SOs in 42 innings by my calculation, no one saw his K/9 over 12 coming, his 2015 is an example of what makes prospect watching so much fun..

Rattler batters managed just 5 hits, no one had more than 1 hit, Max McDowell (1-3,2B,BB) had the only XBH.

Read the game story for information regarding Monte Harrison's ejection.

Saw the last inning of the Sky Sox game. Magnifico got his two strikeouts on a change and a slider, which is a good sign. The knock against him has been his lack of any consistent offspeed stuff. He was around 95 with his fastball, though he was leaving it up a bit and it really doesn't have much movement.

Arcia had a bonehead error to extend the 9th as a slowly hit grounder went between his legs when he pulled his glove up too early.

I really hope Nate Orf makes it to Milwaukee. Very easy guy to cheer for.

Shuckers' ninth inning comeback falls short in loss to Wahoos

Josh Hader strikes out eight in loss on Friday night

Biloxi Shuckers

Biloxi Boxscore

Josh Hader continues to do everything you would want from a pitcher except efficiency, which has been a Brewer Achilles heel for a long time, even though he had his best strike percentage of the season. Tyler Spurlin and Tristan Archer were victimized by a Passed Ball, as was Jon Perrin earlier tonight, and that run was the difference in the game.

Chris McFarland (2-4) and Brett Phillips (2-4,2B) had the multi hit games for the Shuckers.

Most probably just rolled their eyes when catcher Manny Pina was the PTBNL in the K-Rod trade - ten of his 24 hits have been fr extra bases (.990 OPS), and the printed and audio quotes have been glowing...
