Rattlers fall 5-3 to Lansing

Lugnuts rally in seventh to top Wisconsin

Jon Perrin struck out eight over six innings for the Timber Rattlers on Sunday afternoon against the Lansing Lugnuts. (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers/Ann Mollica)

Wisconsin Boxscore

Jon Perrin had that 2 run hiccup but the rest of the game he pitched like he had in 2 of his previous 3 outings. And That rehashed my scouting report from last year and added his own thoughts last week so I'll just say that he's not a projectable frontline guy, but he could be a 4-5/bullpen type, he reminds me some of Austin Ross. It's more they way they work hitters at this level than any delivery or stuff similarities... Just relentlessly attacking the zone.

Unfortunately Alex Farina caused all of his own problems and the inning snowballed on him, it was just his second outing so I don't have a good feel for him at this time.

Max McDowell (2-3,2B) and Carlos Belonis (2-4) had the multi hit games for the T-Rats. Check out the game story for further McDowell exlpoits...

Was at the Sky Sox game in Des Moines for a whole 4 innings...I can't even imagine pitching in those conditions, brutal. Surprised we don't walk 10 guys a game with those temps and wind. I battled the elements with approx. 70 other people that had nothing better to do on a Sunday. Apparently the whole month of April had low temps everywhere they played and there is still snow in Colorado Springs. Need to get out of there sooner than later.

Homers Lead Sky Sox Over Cubs 4-3

Arcia and Middlebrooks go deep as Sky Sox take series finale in Iowa

Colorado Springs Box Score

Yes, any win over any Cubs team is worthwhile; so the Sky Sox have settled in to a Middlebrooks at 3B, Cecchini at 1B, and Wilkins in RF routine; my goodness, look at catcher Manny Pina's recent game logs...

Colorado Springs Game Log

Each in their own way, solid work by each of the four arms, nice bounceback outing for Austin Ross; the linked game summary indicates each pitcher's day nicely, we hope everyone is making the effort for the one click and the quick read...

Final: Brevard County 4, Tampa 2

Ninth inning rally carries Manatees to 4-2 win over Tampa

Donald Rieber, Jr., Manatees Examiner

A couple of wild pitches helped, but a sweet comeback!

Brevard County Box Score

Eleven Sea Cow hits (all but one a single), just one walk, and ten K's, so an interesting offensive box score...

Brevard County Game Log

OK, LHP Brad Kuntz, you have now officially passed the 50 inning mark in your pro career, and your numbers remain amazing. Like Kuntz, RHP Tyler Spurlin was a non-drafted free agent, it's like we always point out, no signing is insignificant.
