Biloxi Boxscore

Well Wei-Chung Wang had a stinker today, too many hitters pitches, which led to too many hits, especially XBH, which of course led to a poor outcome. Martin Viramontes is making me sad, he's just never found his control and the results are telling.

With only 4 hits and 3 walks there's not much else to talk about.

Posted February 29th:

LHP Michael Kirkman, released by the Brewers early last August from his AAA assignment, has found work with the Padres, as per Baseball America.

You may remember these brief notations from his Twitter account at that time. Hey, gotta believe in oneself, right?

And today Kirkman, 33 appearances for the 2015 Sky Sox, is a big leaguer again with San Diego.

Holy Perrin.

Wisconsin wins with a walkoff

Jon Perrin struck out 14 in 6-2/3 innings on Tuesday night for the Timber Rattlers. (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers/Nick Guenther)

Wisconsin Boxscore

Fun! Fun! Fun! Prospects performing well all over the place in this game.

Jon Perrin's SO night covered by previous posters and the game story, that bloop double which no one saw was the worst and nearly cost the Rattlers. Scott Grist was just as strong in relief, he's had a nice start to the season. I have little doubt there will be a MiLB.com feature on this game.

There was a nice sign of life from Monte Harrison earlier tonight, he went the other way on an 0-2 pitch for the (at the time) game tying hit in the 5th... then of course he came through with the game winner in the 9th. Speaking of signs of life, Jake Gatewood posted his second consecutive multi hit performance. Elvis Rubio (2-4) continues to perform well at the plate, hopefully his success continues all year. Isan Diaz has been mired in a horrible slump, hopefully his bad hop single over the 1B which tied the game is the break he needed to head the other way.

Wisconsin Recap

For the win!

Wisconsin Bottom of the 9th

  • Pitching Change: Marcus Crescentini replaces Kevin Brown.
David Denson lines out to first baseman Matt Jones.
Jake Gatewood singles on a ground ball to left fielder Jordan Paroubeck.
Elvis Rubio singles on a line drive to left fielder Jordan Paroubeck. Jake Gatewood to 2nd.
    Luis Aviles strikes out swinging.
Isan Diaz singles on a ground ball to right fielder Ariel Sandoval. Jake Gatewood scores. Elvis Rubio to 3rd.
With Monte Harrison batting, Isan Diaz advances to 2nd on defensive indifference.
Monte Harrison singles on a line drive to center fielder Gage Green. Elvis Rubio scores. Isan Diaz to 3rd.

Brevard County Box Score

Just a matter of time before this 3-16 squad starts getting some national attention for the wrong reasons, unfortunately; RF Clint Coulter the only Sea Cow to reach base twice (single, HBP), 13 of Coulter's 14 base hits have been singles...

Colorado Springs Box Score

Pretty incredible offensive box score for your review, and somehow, Michael Reed missed out on the fun; not much doubt as of today that Manny Pina would be the promoted catcher in the event of any big league injury/trade, wow, he's on fire...

Colorado Springs Game Log

A uniquely mixed bag of pitching performances as well...
