This is the game I hope we just wax them. Get out onto a lead and let Nelson settle in and dominate the game. Give a chance for a series win tomorrow.

We just couldn't get two days off of Hill nor let Walsh start two games in a row now could we.

I was expecting to see cheers for Scooter not playing vs the LH. I get the frustration with Walsh not playing. But we still have 5 1/2 months of baseball. Walsh will get more playing time/ABs at some point. Hill is a veteran, as long as they have him he's going to play and get time to prove himself so he can be flipped later. If Hill is still awful by this time in May, and he still plays every day, then there's a problem.

If Hill is going to play can Counsell at least move him down in the order a bit. I know Rivera and Flores aren't Mantle or DiMaggio out there but Hill is just not worthy of hitting in an important spot in the lineup. Carter should be getting walked every time.

I'm not sure if Jimmy has a young son, but if he does, he needs to spend some time in the backyard with him practicing a soft underhand toss from close range. Just missed being the blooper of the year right there.

The more teams shift...the more hitters are going to bunt and slap the ball against it...going to skew the sabermetric data over the next couple of years.

Good, it isn't all about sabermetric data.

The shift has nothing to do with sabermetrics. Teams have been shifting for decades. Pittsburgh just finally decided to do the crazy thing of playing their defenders where hitters most often hit the ball instead of just placing them in the same spots every time. Once every other team saw how well that worked the rest of the league adopted it.

Followed by a great AB by Braun with a walk and the lead
