As bad as this game was, most of the guys that came in from the pen did well. Two runs in six innings vs St is good work. I have concerns with Freeman though.

 

The bullpen minus Freeman and Pena has been excellent so far. Pretty impressive consider losing KRod and the injuries.

Jeremy Hazelbaker???? Why does it seem the Cardinals are the only team that comes up with these guys? He was a 27 year old career minor leaguer going nowhere when the Cardinals picked him up last May two weeks after the Dodgers released him. Now he's the 2nd coming of Stan Musial.

 

With all the money Attanasio is saving, why not spend some and lure some of those Cardinal minor league instructors away from them?
