RHP Conor Harber has been placed on the Wisconsin DL retro to July 4th - you heard Manager Matt Erickson discuss shoulder discomfort for Harber earlier.

Rosiak's final injury update for Wednesday --

Conor Harber has rotator cuff irritation. Will be down for a bit, as Brewers want to be cautious with him. Has had good season at Wisconsin.

Well, the Brewers need to make room on their 35-man Maryvale roster after signing so many draft picks, and one transaction they made today was to transfer 26th round University of Iowa infielder Nick Roscetti (.711 OPS in 47 Maryvale AB's) to the Brevard County roster, while also placing him on the 7-day DL there.

Roscetti played a full game on Tuesday, so no word on his injury status.

Two Helena RHP's have been dropped back down to Maryvale.

RHP Jack Finnegan, an undrafted 2015 free agent signee, had one incredibly rough outing on the 4th of July skew whatever numbers he'll post in 2016.

22-year-old 4th year pro, but 1st year stateside Nattino Diplan (no relation to Wisconsin's premier prospect Marcos, that we know of, we've asked) joins Finnegan on the flight to Phoenix. Diplan pitched four scoreless innings on Tuesday, but had struggled in his three prior appearances (two starts).

With all the recent roster shuffles (Will Middlebrooks, Andy Wilkins, Yadiel Rivera) all to Milwaukee, the Sky Sox were down to seven position players who aren't primarily catchers.

So Biloxi utility backup infielder Brandon Macias has been shuttled to Colorado Springs.

Also, catching up on a prior move, RHP Drew Gagnon was placed on the 7-day DL as of July 4th, and RHP Jaye Chapman was activated the same day.

The Brewers have released 21-year-old 6'6" 3rd year RHP Starling Duval from the Dominican Summer League squad. Duval was signed for the 2015 season after the Diamondbacks released him after his 2014 rookie season. Duval had last pitched on Tuesday the 5th. His stats, as always with linked player names, are at the link.

Two exciting moves become official via MiLB.com --

19-year-old RHP Marcos Diplan (Yovani Gallardo trade) will surely be one of the Florida State League's youngest pitchers now, if not the youngest, as he jumps up a level from Wisconsin.

And recently-turned 20-year-old RHP Trey Supak, who along with Keon Broxton came over in the Jason Rogers deal, is officially added to the Timber Rattlers' roster from Helena, where the Pirates' competitive balance round 2014 pick (73rd overall) posted a stellar 0.76 WHIP in his first 14 Brewer organization innings.

Congrats to both (and to us, who get to follow along)!

By the way, the Timber Rattlers don't need to make a corresponding move, looks like the Manatees will need to, in order to reach the 25-man roster limit.

According to the Brewers Player Development tweet- Jaye Chapman traded to the Tampa Bay Rays for a PTBNL or cash

Also making room for the eventual activation of newcomer RHP Aaron Wilkerson (Aaron Hill deal) with the Sky Sox.

That's all well and good, but the performance has to match in order to have something to be truly exited about.

Who's been bagging on Peralta? He's not particularly special in terms of MLB and most everyone is pegging him as a mid to back of the rotation starter, which I believe is fair given his FB/stuff combo.

For now, the Timber Rattlers lineup is 14 pitchers / 11 position players, as just-turned 21-year-old Helena RHP Thomas Jankins, 13th round, Quinnipiac (CT) joins the club.

That's five RHP's joining the team from rookie ball in less than a week -- Chase Williams, Zack Brown, Corbin Burnes, and Trey Supak the others.

Look for 21-year-old RHP Junior Flores to finally make his stateside debut in Maryvale soon.

Flores has played four seasons in the Dominican. He'll actually be in Maryvale on a "rehab assignment" from Wisconsin, as he was placed on the Timber Rattlers roster and DL in June, but that was seemingly just to make paper roster space for the massive number of newcomers at the rookie level this summer.

We posted this on June 16th --

Partly in order to help protect their younger Dominican Summer League arms from overuse, the Brewers have signed three "older" but new arms to their DSL squad, bolstering what was a lean pitching staff, given the usual innings limits.

23-year-old Dominican native Francisco Pena has two years under his belt in the Rays system, you'll see his stat lines at the link.

Despite posting really strong numbers in the tiny sample of five 2016 relief appearances, the Brewers released Pena on Tuesday. There's more to that story we'll never know...

For now, the Timber Rattlers lineup is 14 pitchers / 11 position players.

Not any more, as OF Carlos Belonis (shoulder, sidelined since 6/29) is activated, and LHP Drake Owenby has been placed on the 7-day DL with an undisclosed injury.

Also, 3rd catcher Natanael Mejia was placed on the DL on the 11th. The Rattlers active roster is at 25.
