If Davies comes to the majors and stays, he'd be controlled through 2021. Outlander would like to see that control extend through 2022. To make that happen, Zach would need to spend approximately 54 days in the minors this season or accumulate some minor league time during another season.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

This is actually a situation where the more time Garza spends on the DL, the better. Under no circumstance should we let Garza's 2018 option of $13M vest, which requires 110 appearances. I think he's at 53. They can't let him hit 110, but the less intervention required to keep him from the mark, the better.
