Steve Phillips former Met GM?

I'm not sure where to put this topic, but here it goes.

 

Colby or anybody else in the know - Who would have been in charge of the drafts for the NY Mets when they drafted Kazmir, Milledge, Wright, & Reyes? In what rounds were some of they're young studs drafted?

 

The angle I'm wondering about is how talented was Steve Phillips as a GM. Now I wouldn't want him to hand out free agent contracts or orchestrate any trades, but I wonder if he has skill as a talent evaluator.

While the GM is involved with the draft, it's usually the scouting director and his team of scouts that deserves credit for the players brought into the system.
