Can somebody do us a favor and please simply transcribe, 1-30, the list of names for MLB Pipeline in a follow-up post to this?

Their archiving is weak, and we never know who got bumped or moved when they update their list.

For instance, Javier Betancourt enters at #20, who got bumped?

My goodness, they still foolishly have Cody Ponce so low at #30.

Our #24 man, Cy Sneed, has been lost in the trade to Houston (with Milwaukee acquiring infielder Jonathan Villar). Newly-acquired Javier Betancourt (in exchange for K-Rod) may very well slot in right around that same spot.

Stearns doesn't seem adverse to making moves, so I won't be surprised to see some more additions (and maybe subtractions) from our Top 25 list this off season.

Clancy's #1 prospect has yet to be added to the 40 man roster.

Come on now, no one would put him #1 over Arcia.....He is his number #2 prospect

1. LHP Brent Suter - He just produces. He will be on a 40-man next year, will it be with the Brewers?

2. SS Orlando Arcia - Only question's if he is Opening Day 2016 or 2017 shortstop

where would you rank Ramon Flores?

I'd guess in the 20-25 range. Reports aren't high on his ability to play CF or RF full time due to lack of athleticism and arm strength. And without much power, that makes it hard to see him as anything more than reserve or platoon player. Add in the fact he broke his leg last year, and probably won't be ready for camp, and it's hard to get too excited about the guy.

That said, he seems to have a decent hit tool. The guy takes his walks and gets on base. That's a nice skill to have - one that will get him playing time. With some luck and opportunity, he could be a regular or perhaps a semi-regular as the lefty in a platoon situation.

I missed this rankings post. I'll add my answers to the questions posed earlier in the thread

How about some thoughts on superlatives:

Who is the most likely to be first graduate off the list?

We've pretty much answered this already. It'll be Zach Davies. Jorge Lopez next.

Who will be the biggest climber?

Cody Ponce. I think he'll climb to AAA during 2016 and be the #1 prospect in this ranking next season...as I'm in belief Arcia will have graduated.

Who will have the biggest drop?

Tyrone Taylor some more. His time may be short for being in the organization. There's just far better athletes and bats and he's not going to make it to the Major League club before they all surpass him.

Most likely to make a comeback?

A comeback....Like not on this list?

Nicolas Pierre. Don't know why he played so little this year and maybe with some more exposure he'll show why the team spent 800k for him.

Otherwise, WCWang if to be on the list since he's near the bottom but at the age where you'd expect some team advancement.

Big years coming for Harrison and Gatewood. What was such a brilliant start to Harrison's pro career, and forgettable for Gatewood's, I'm wondering which will step forward. Especially since the team has added Lara, Clark, and Orimoloye that are going to be at or above them in the levels these two play. That will be the most fun to see these 5 start maturing and climb the Org. ladder.

The difference in the scouts eyes. I 100 of 100 take the absolute freak who has nearly unmatchable (outside of Harrison) athleticism, speed, power combo, with the ability to possibly be a major force. Happ is more of the safe sure fire everyday MLB starter but don't think his ceiling even comes close to Demi's. With that said, Al Davis proved that freaks don't always equal freakish production.

I'm extremely excited about Demi, but the fact of the matter is he only walked three times all of last season (144 PA), which is obviously unsustainable once he faces better pitching. He's still a very rough product in terms of being a well-rounded hitter, as was always expected. That isn't to say he doesn't have huge upside or that his excellent hitting last season should be ignored, but some people are getting a little carried away I think.

John Sickels' site and reader comments --

Milwaukee Brewers organization discussion

Sickels will release more later this week...

Some more from Sickels with a list of his top 37 Brewers prospects, but merely listed in alphabetical order at this point.

Milwaukee Brewers preliminary prospect list

EDIT: Make sure to check out the comments section as Sickels made some adjustments to his original list (now at 35) and gives a preview by including his ranking (A-) and commentary of Orlando Arcia.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

In the comments, in addition to giving Arcia an A-, he says that Hader is at least a B - maybe a B+ prospect.

He also mentions that Jorge Ortega and David Denson are C prospects (and didn't make his list). He noted the really low K rate for Ortega as a red flag.

Unfortunately life got in the way and I was unable to participate in the voting for the post-season Brewerfan.net community top 25 prospects list. Figured I would add to the thread in a little different way by creating an org depth chart based on the voting results. The notes included with the below image should cover how exactly the chart was organized. If you think I made an error or missed anyone please don't hesitate to point it out. One disclamer, I don't know much about the image uploading site I used here so if the link goes sour or someone has a more reliable image uploading site I will swap it out.

Awesome Chart! Only thing missing is our top catching prospect who is going to blow up in AA this season now he is finally 100% healthy and back in the groove....Dustin Houle! Be a huge breakout year for him.

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

FORMERLY BrewCrewWS2008 and YoungGeezy don't even remember other names used

Sickels hasn't posted his specific grades to each player, but he did post the grade breakdown of the Brewers:

A = Zero

A- = 1 (we know this is Arcia)

B+ = 3

B = 3

B- = 8

C+ = 9

C = 11

This was based on 35 guys he was considering for the list.

Very important - prior to 2014 we had 1 B (nelson) and 4 B- prospects. This year we are going to have 15 guys who are B- and above. That's a huge jump in two years.

We can probably make educated guesses at the B+ guys - Clark, Lopez, Phillips. Maybe Hader.

Hader was mentioned in the earlier posts as at least a B guy. Other B prospects could come from Lara or Kodi - and Sickels has always like Houser, Coulter and Devin Williams - so you never know.

No matter what, it's a greatly improved farm system.

Very cool chart. It reinforces what we already know. Heavy on CF/SS types, but light on 3B, C and 1B. Some of our SSes will move to 3B, so that should balance a bit. And some OF could move to 1B. But no way to move someone into the C position. :(

Even with Houle added to Leal, its pretty thin. I do hope that Houle is ready for AA, as he only had 25 games and 80 ABs at A+. Otherwise, Houle and Leal are splitting time at A+ this year.

To be honest I wish we could slide Lara and Gatewood over to the 3B spot. I know they aren't because they are still playing SS, but realistically both will end up at 3B defensively. Gatewood should probably already be moving there. Errors aren't everything, but he had 28 last year. Maybe he could improve with time, but he was always expected to shift over to 3B. Why not just do it now and let him focus on offense?

I think we would still be considered a bit weak at 3B though. Lara is a long way off and Gatewood is a big project himself.
