Nelson shut down for season… Peralta too

Yep. Treat them like spring training games. Bring up as many as you can and let them all play each game. Even the Arcia thing. If they are not worried about starting his clock, then bring him up and let him pinch hit in the games and take a seat on the bench the rest of the game. The more exposure guys get to the league, the better.

Except for Schaefer. Why the hell is this guy playing over Peterson or Reed? I'd rather throw Rogers out there than him too.

Couldn't agree more. Problem is we have another manager that values players like him way too high because he was somewhat like him.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Would have gone better if they shut down Nelson and Peralta the same time as they shut down Garza. Can't believe it could have gone worse..... Garza possibly doesn't throw the gigantic baby fit because he is not singled out for poor pitching (rather sitting for pitch count/not risking injury/letting young guys pitch) Nelson doesn't get hit in head, and Peralta doesn't throw more pitches when he is possibly still not 100%. Hindsight 20-20. They still are protecting themselves well for next year.

Peterson played regularly for several weeks and his numbers dropped off dramatically. Given Logan offers superior defense, it's worth seeing what he can do with regular playing time. Yes he got a chance a few years back, but by that logic Carlos Gomez shouldn't have gotten a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th chance in MLB

Carlos possessed (and still possesses) tools that Logan Schafer could only dream to possess. Not an apples-to-apples comparison.
