I don't agree with this at all because many fans bought tickets to that ADVERTISED fan appreciation game in October. To just move it? Lame if you ask me.

I agree with the reasoning but that is a slap in the face to those who planned to go to that game because it was Fan Appreciation.

The simple solution would be to allow people with tickets to the game to either exchange them for tickets to the new date or to a 2016 game, whichever they choose.

Yes, if anyone has tickets they had already bought specifically for fan appreciation night on the old date, they should call and complain. I'm assuming the Brewers will be accommodating.

This is not the first time that they scheduled fan appreciation night on a night when they play the Cubs and I never understood why they would do that. I understand that FA night is usually the last Saturday home game of the season. However, if you see that the last Saturday game is going to be against the Cubs then you need to rethink that plan and make it the next to last Saturday (like they did here, albeit, a bit too late)

 

Edit/Also: I also never understand why the Brewers schedule most of their promotions on weekends. It's nice for the fans, but it seems to me that promotions should be designed to draw fans to the game. Weekends tend to be the highest attended games of the week anyways. Why not move the bobble head give-aways to the middle of the week and have t-shirt Tuesdays (instead of Fridays)?

I'd guess that the sponsors involved have a lot to say about the promotional dates. It seems that the best discounts tend to be on weekdays, though.

Outstate (non-SE Wisconsin) fans wouldn't get much chance at the giveaways if they were held during the week. Most of us aren't as dogged as the hawing household.

Casey's point about the discounts generally being better during the week is valid.
