This game was on MLB Network Saturday night, so some of you may have seen it. (Thankfully for Damien, they are not re-broadcasting it Sunday).

Yadiel Rivera did not get a late at-bat, but the good news?

Magnifico's club won on an unearned run in the 10th.

Here's the GameDay with pitch-by-pitch, Magnifico sitting 96-98.

Get 'em next time, Damien!

Will we see LHP Josh Hader Wednesday? Not likely, as he is starting on Wednesday.

@BerniePleskoff: #Brewers Josh Hader blowing the ball past hitters at 97 mph. Turns his back to the plate and fires. Tough to pick up the ball.

@BerniePleskoff: Ya, Hader is not a finished product. Still has to work on commanding that smoking fastball and secondary pitches. Has to throw strikes.

Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline on seven players who shined in the title game (one literally)

CUYz2kKWcAEcoEL.jpg

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- No pitcher boosted his stock during this Arizona Fall League season more than Brewers left-hander Josh Hader.

Acquired in a trade with the Astros in July as the third-best prospect in the Carlos Gomez for Mike Fiers deal, Hader led the AFL with a 0.56 ERA and emerged as the top left-handed pitching prospect in the league. He left one final positive impression on Saturday in the championship game, which his Surprise Saguaros lost 6-4 to the Scottsdale Scorpions.

Working the ninth inning in an attempt to keep the game close, he fanned Clint Frazier (Indians) on a sweeping upper-70s slider and Mike Gerber (Tigers) on a 96-mph fastball on the outside corner. A la Madison Bumgarner and Chris Sale, Hader employs a slinging delivery that keeps hitters off-balance and adds life to his pitches, and his fastball has climbed as high as 98 mph this fall. Scouts who cover the league believe Hader has a better chance to make it as big league starter than more famous AFL southpaws Kyle Freeland (Rockies) and Sean Manaea (Athletics).

Lopez/Hader combination excited to see soon in Milwaukee!

There is real talent in the Brewers system for the rotation.

Combine Lopez and Hader with the Peralta/Nelson/Jungmann trio, and the Crew has a legit rotation. That doesn't count the other contenders (Suter, Ortega, Wang, Davies, Houser, Wagner, Cravy), with some other talent lower in the system (Ponce, Meideros, Diplan, D. Williams, and Rodrigo Benoit - a potential gem in the DSL).

Honestly, if I were the GM, I'd listen to offers on Peralta. They'd have to blow me away, but I'd be open to deals.

EDIT:

Put it this way, here's a "league-minimum" rotation for the Brewers:

Jungmann, Davies, Hader, Lopez, Suter

Imagine that rotation, PLUS the return from Nelson and Peralta.

I would be will to trade Peralta as he is getting closer to being paid prior to us competing again.

Nelson is our best pitcher on this staff and we have 5 more years of control of him...2 more at league min prior to arbitration.

As long as Suter isn't in rotation I'd be happy. I would easily take Houser over him since Houser at least has a little upside.

Nelson - Jungmann - Lopez - Hader- Davies/Houser

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

FORMERLY BrewCrewWS2008 and YoungGeezy don't even remember other names used
