Link Report for Wednesday 8/19 - Brent Suter's Pace Stymies Tacoma

Mass Haas
The 2nd Wisconsin game is a bit disheartenening and interesting analysis above about the quality of Kodi's pitches....

Domingo Santana however makes me happy as he is up to .400 after the trade and is hitting around .470 with an equal 4/4 w/k ratio in last 10 games....that is amazing....if he did not have that awful introductory performance to mlb last year, he would be getting talked about as a top 30 milb player

That is some interesting analysis. Kodi's previous 17 IP had 14 ks and just 2 walks but if Crew is right he could have been facing mostly poor disciplined teams.

I don't see any use of going out and wasting anymore or resource on bringing a pitcher during year 1 of the rebuild. Next year is mostly about seeing what you have and evaluating what pieces you want moving forward. The expectation isn't to win next year but start developing and evaluating...don't get bringing in someone that will cost you a lot of money or talent to get just to not be competitive. Now if your talking about a future Ace type arm who is in AAA or very early in career and cheap then I agree.

2017 will be the year our wave hits, 2018 is the year we should be able to be pretty competitive again if all goes to plan.

Thornburg

Cravy

Davies

Suter

Wagner

Lopez

I don't see any of those guys starting 2016 in the rotation. Maybe Lopez or Davies, but why rush them? Give them a couple months at AAA like they did with Jungmann this year. There's so many FA out there, I'd be inclined to bring in a low cost veteran to start the year in the 5th spot, and let those guys force their way to Milwaukee.
