There's really no better time as a Brewers minor league fan to jump on MiLB.TV, where you can watch games live and/or on archive.

While their page is advertising "rest of season" for $29.99, when you consider that a monthly subscription is $12.99, you can buy August and September individually for even less. With a late Labor Day this year, September runs through that second weekend, and you'll want Biloxi playoff action after that.

Keep in mind that you get every Sky Sox game (including all Zach Davies' starts), as of Friday 8/6 the rest of the Shuckers' games including all of Josh Hader's and Adrian Houser's starts, and all Timber Rattler home games and two of their road series, plus Helena's series in Idaho Falls later this month.

Hey MiLB, where's my commission? ;)

VIDEO: Helena's David Denson -- charisma to burn...

I feel like I didn't pimp Arcia enough when he was in WI because I had a hard time articulating his over aggressive approach, Denson is the exact opposite. He's patient to a fault so he ends up down in the count and then forcing swings at bad pitches or watching questionable called strike 3s. He has a good eye, is a better athlete than his body type would suggest, and I'll just come out and say he's easily one of my favorite players in the entire system.

The fact that he continually bats around .250 drives me insane because he's a better player than he's shown, his .195 average in WI was not representative of his true talent. His strides at 1B from year 1 to year 2 in WI were just phenomenal.

I want very badly for him to turn into a legitimate prospect.

Rattlers snap six with 6-3 win at Lansing

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Angel Ventura earned his sixth win of the season on Thursday night at Lansing. Ventura allowed one run and struck out seven over six innings in Wisconsin's 6-3 win. (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers/Ann Mollica)

LANSING, MI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers ended a six-game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Lansing Lugnuts Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium. The Rattlers received solid pitching, key hits, and were able to take advantage of three errors by Lugnuts fielders.

Lansing (63-47 overall, 21-19 second half) scored first with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Boomer Collins singled with one out and took second on a wild pitch. Alex Maldonado followed with a single to center and Collins scored for a 1-0 lead.

The Timber Rattlers (37-72, 14-25) responded in the top of the fifth. Blake Allemand singled to start the frame and took third on an errant pickoff throw with one out. Sthervin Matos drew a walk to put runners on the corners, but both runners were at their bases with two out. Mitch Meyer cashed in the opportunity with a triple off the wall in left-center and the Rattlers were up 2-1. Wisconsin had never led a game during their losing streak.

Rattlers starting pitcher Angel Ventura gave up a pair of one out singles in the bottom of the fifth inning, but struck out the next two Lansing batters to keep the Rattlers in the lead. Wisconsin's offense responded, with a little help from the Lansing defense, in a big way in the top of the sixth.

Alan Sharkey started the top of the sixth with a double. Francisco Castillo bunted up the third base line for a hit and the throw to first was wild to allow Sharkey to score and Castillo to take second base. A wild pitch let Castillo go to third. Then, Allemand lined a single to center. Castillo held to see if the ball would be caught before heading home. Centerfielder Josh Almonte tried to throw home to get Castillo, but the throw was late and Allemand went to second on the throw home. That hit spelled the end of the night for Lansing starter Conor Fisk.

Lansing reliever Mark Biggs got the second out, but hit Sthervin Matos with a pitch. Elvis Rubio was next and he lined a single to left to score Allemand. Matos was heading for third and drew a throw that went wild and allowed him to score the fourth run of the inning to give the Rattlers a 6-1 lead.

Ventura tossed a scoreless sixth to maintain that lead before turning the game over to the bullpen. Ventura allowed one run on seven hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over his six innings to put himself in line for the win.

Lansing did score twice against Josh Uhen in the bottom of the eighth on an RBI grounder and a sacrifice fly, but they would get no closer than 6-3. Luke Curtis allowed two hits and struck out two in the bottom of the ninth to nail down his third save of the season.

Wisconsin scored more runs in Thursday's game (6) than they did in the six-game losing streak (4).

The Timber Rattlers continue their road trip with three games against the Great Lakes Loons in Midland, Michigan. Game one of the series at Dow Diamond is Friday night. David Carver (1-2, 5.51) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. The Loons have named Grant Holmes (6-2, 2.59) as their starter. Game time is 6:05pm CDT. The action may be heard on AM1280, WNAM starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 5:45pm. The broadcast is also available on Tune In Radio and IHeartRadio. The Loons are also a team that participates in MiLB.TV and fans with subscriptions may watch the game on that platform.

WP: Angel Ventura (6-5)

LP: Conor Fisk (2-3)

SAVE: Luke Curtis (3)

TIME: 2:46

ATTN: 6,560

Wisconsin Boxscore

Chris pointed out that since his disastrous outing on 7/9 against Kane County Angel Ventura has allowed just 4 runs over 5 appearances. He gave up too many hits today, but otherwise it was another fantastic outing. Gian Rizzo is the other Rattler pitcher on a hot streak having allowed just 4 runs since 5/31, that's 15 appearances. Speaking of pitching, the Rattlers currently have 14 pitchers on the roster, that's awfully extreme.

Hooray for the bats doing something productive pounding out 10 hits led by Francisco Castillo (3-4) who put up his 5th 3 hit day of the season. He's versatile in the field, plays hard, and is decent at the plate though he'd been very cold in August (1-16) prior to today's action. Alan Sharkey (2-4) who was the lead off hitter tonight and Blake Allemand (2-4) had the other multi-hit games for the Rattlers. Is it wrong I chuckled when I saw the 1B was batting 1st? Somewhere Michael Brantley is smiling...

Tomorrow the T-Rats match up against Grant Holmes which I find extremely interesting.

Nothing against RHP Josh Uhen (Time Warner Cable's Bob Brainerd's latest Timber Rattlers player profile), but it'll be nice when Uhen earns his way to Brevard, because the UW-Milwaukee product has had more than his share of feature stories as the local guy.

That being said, even if you think you've read it before, Brainerd gets so much from his interviewees, there's always some new tidbits, so enjoy...

Hobbs Johnson suffered the loss on Thursday, striking out six in four innings (John Shadrick)

MOBILE, AL - The Biloxi Shuckers dropped the rubber match on Thursday night to the Mobile BayBears, 4-2, at Hank Aaron Stadium. The loss puts Biloxi a game under .500 in the second half, heading into a 10-game home stand at MGM Park.

The loss stops a string of two-straight series victories when winning the final three games.

Mobile (24-15) plated the first run of the game in the third, using a two-out single by Garret Weber to take a 1-0 lead over Biloxi.

Shuckers' starter Hobbs Johnson (7-5) lasted just four innings in a second consecutive start and struck out six while allowing the one run on three hits and three walks on 85 pitches.

The BayBears added another run in the fifth off of reliever Martin Viramontes (2.0 IP, R, 2 H, 2 SO). Jack Reinheimer started the frame with a triple and came in to score on a sacrifice fly by Zach Borenstein.

Biloxi (19-20) cracked the scoreboard in the sixth to pull within a run of Mobile. Nathan Orf (2x4, R) singled with one out and moved over to third on Taylor Green's (1x4, 2B) double. Victor Roach (0x4, RBI) grounded out to short, allowing Orf to score from third and put the Shuckers on the board.

Manny Barreda (1.1 IP, R, 2 H, 2 SO) kept the Shuckers within a run after facing the minimum in the seventh, but was pulled after a one-out double by Gabirel Guerrero in the eighth. Jed Bradley (0.2 IP, R, H, BB, 2 SO) took over on the mound and struck out Rudy Flores for the second out and intentionally walked Ronnie Freeman, a .405 batter against lefties, to face Evan Marzilli. The move did not work, as Marzilli deposited a two-run double.

BayBears starter John Omahen (6-0) continued to stay perfect for Mobile, allowing one run on five hits, two walks and a strikeout.

Orlando Arcia went 0-for-3, snapping his eight-game hitting streak. Orf extended his hitting streak to four games while Brett Phillips has hit in three-straight.

The Shuckers return home for a 10-game home-stand at MGM Park, beginning with a five-game set with the Mississippi Braves on Friday. RHP Jorge Lopez (10-4, 2.52) will look to tie the league lead with his 11th win of the season for Biloxi, and face against RHP Greg Ross (5-9, 4.42) for Mississippi. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m., with coverage beginning at 6:55 p.m. on 1240-AM WGCM, 1580-AM WPMO and the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network. Fans can also listen to the game using the TuneIn Radio app or by going to http://www.biloxishuckers.com.

From Wednesday --

Gilbert Lara replaced after striking out-what happened?

Unless one of dozen or so people in attendance saw something on the field and reported it, probably impossible to know for sure. Either Munoz was scheduled to get a few ABs, or Lara was pulled for injury or frustration.

Looks like the latter...

Final: AZL Dodgers 8, AZL Brewers 3

Maryvale Box Score

RHP Gentry Fortuno doesn't turn 18 until 9/11, but he continues to throw solid ball, one earned run in his four-inning start here; RHP David Lucroy still allowing two many baserunners and not enough clean innings, though...

Clark, Roenicke Lead Sox To 6-3 Win In OKC

Josh Roenicke allowed just two runs over six strong innings to help the Sky Sox in Thursday night's 6-3 win. (File photo from prior game by Paat Kelly)

The Sky Sox won their second straight contest with a 6-3 defeat of the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Thursday night before a crowd of 5,199 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Matt Clark and the Sky Sox struck right away when the slugging infielder blasted a two-out, two-run home run over the right-centerfield wall to give to give the visiting side a 2-0 lead against Trevor Chaill (0-3, 6.85) and the Dodgers in the first inning.

Sox starter Josh Roenicke (6-8, 5.23) allowed a pair of runs over his six innings of work, allowing five base hits and three walks while striking out three. One of those walks would come around to score in the OKC second when Andy Wilkins scored on a Jose Tabata base knock with two out in the frame. Tabata would hurt Roenicke one more time, driving in the Dodgers' second run of the night in the sixth with a bases-loaded, RBI force out that plated Corey Seager from third.

Leading 2-1 heading into the third, Colorado Springs would add another pair of runs on Clark's two-out, two run double, scoring Roenicke and Kyle Wren to extend the Sox lead to 4-1 through three.

Cahill allowed one more run before his night was through as Pete Orr drove Wren, who led off the fifth with a triple, home on a sacrifice fly for the Sox fifth run of the night. The veteran right-hander allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six in his five innings on the bump.

Each bullpen surrendered a run with Colorado Springs getting to OKC reliever Adam Liberatore for theirs in the seventh on a Domingo Santana RBI knock and the Dodgers tallying their third against Sox righty Rob Wooten in the eighth.

David Goforth gave the Sky Sox 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, closing out the Dodgers ninth to give Colorado Springs a 6-3 win over the division-leader in OKC. Goforth's fourth save helped the Sox improve their season record to 45-65 while dropping the Dodgers to 67-45.

Colorado Springs will look to keep it rolling as they go for the series victory in game three of this four-game set with the Dodgers on Friday night. With Tyler Cravy earning a call-up to the big club in Milwaukee earlier this week, the Sky Sox will nominate a pitcher for the spot-start early Friday to take on RHP Zach Lee (8-3, 2.26) and the Dodgers with first pitch set for 6:05 PM MDT (7:05 Central) at Chickasaw Bircktown Ballpark.

Colorado Springs Box Score

Matt Clark homered, doubled twice, and walked, he's scorching in five August games (11-for18 with six extra-base hits and four walks, 1.751 OPS!).

CF Kyle Wren has two hits in each of his last four games, and LF Domingo Santana has at least one hit in each game since arriving, 9-for-22 (.409).

Hellweg, Hirsch Tame Yankees in 2-1 Victory

Hellweg Tosses Five No-Hit Innings In Win

Brevard County Manatees

08/07/2015 12:12 AM ET

http://www.milb.com/assets/images/6/8/6/141668686/cuts/Hellweg_cbolu2o7_qofm563u.JPG

Viera, FL - Johnny Hellweg tossed five no-hit innings as the Brevard County Manatees (18-20, 47-60 overall) defeated the Tampa Yankees (18-22, 52-58 overall) 2-1 in front of a crowd of 1779 at Space Coast Stadium on Thursday night.

Hellweg (1-3, 7.20 ERA) allowed one run over five innings without allowing a hit to earn the victory. He walked four and struck out three.

With the Yankees leading 1-0, the Manatees scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead. Dustin Houle led things off with a single to right field. Jose Pena then reached on an infield single. After a Steven Halcomb sacrifice bunt, Omar Garcia stepped to the plate with two runners in scoring position and one out. Garcia drilled a two-run single up the middle to plate both Houle and Pena. Garcia and Houle both had two hits on the evening.

Zach Hirsch tossed the final four frames of the ballgame to earn his first save of the season. He surrendered just three hits and one walk. He fanned four.

Vicente Campos (1-5, 6.35 ERA) took the loss. He gave up two runs on four hits over 5.2 innings.

After taking two of three from Tampa, Brevard County will head on the road to start a six-game road trip. First pitch between the Manatees and the Dunedin Blue Jays is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium tomorrow night. Wei-Chung Wang (8-3, 3.80 ERA) will get the start for Brevard County.

Brevard County Box Score

Johnny Hellweg: 5 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 3 K, 7/2 GO/FO

Zach Hirsch: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 5/4 GO/FO

I guess it's progress for Johnny Hellweg. Still having control problems. Dustin Houle had a double for the only Manatee extra base hit in addition to the single mentioned in the story. Omar Garcia stole his 42nd base and was also caught stealing for the 13th time.
