Getting hard to remember the good Lucroy.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Well at least I don't feel the need to stay up late and finish this one out. Dang does Lohse suck. He'd get smacked around in the Northwoods League.

It's just hard to fathom how/why they keep running Lohse out there. There hasn't been a glimmer of hope in quite some time.

Desperately hoping he shows some sign of life so they can trade him

Four earned runs in 6 2/3. That's almost nearly a quality start!

Yes indeed! I like the optimism.

Exactly. Why hasn't he been DFA's yet? Nobody wants this guy.

Lohse had a 5.40 ERA today.

Yeah, it made no sense for Carlos to run. And it made less sense to get ejected (throwing his helmet). And it made even less sense to hang in the dugout for so long after the ejection that a suspension might be in order.

Counsell's ejection was kind of cool, though. :)

Segura showing why he's so mediocre. They just set up on the outside part of the plate and let him swing at crap. He hasn't learned a thing since he came up. Pitchers know he chases junk, so they throw it to him. He'll never drive the ball if he doesn't get good pitches to swing at. If he hasn't learned after three years, he's likely never going to learn.
