Trading partner - Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles released Delmon Young, Snyder has had a disappointing season, and their backups are a group of 30-ish journeymen in De Aza, Lough, and Reimold (everyone... "Who???"). Need a 3rd OF badly. With Jones in CF and not a lot of top prospects in their farm system I don't think they are a landing spot for Gomez, but Parra would fit nicely here.

Prospects line up nicely too. The Brewers could grab their catching prospect in Chance Sisco; he's a little ways off in high-A, but a high OBP/low strikeout LHH catcher is just what the Brewers need. Because he's still at the A-ball level, perhaps the demand for Parra could get the O's to toss in David Hess or Brian Gonzalez.

Seems like a lot of good landing spots for Gerardo Parra. I think he should be a good grab for a team that wants to add, but not go after a big time player. Baltimore seems to fit that bill and the prospects you mentioned are all reasonable targets.

The way Parra keeps hitting a nice upside player like Sisco might be attainable. Would not be too sad at that return.

According to Rosenthal, the Orioles are one of the teams interested in Gomez.

RHP Dylan Bundy and RHP Hunter Harvey would be an interesting starting point. If that seems like a lot, keep in mind that in addition to the huge injury issues (Harvey is injured, Bundy has never been healthy), Bundy is already in his last option year (which doesn't necessarily affect team control, but means he has to sink or swim, perhaps diminishing his value). If the injuries make that sound like not enough, keep in mind we would be rolling the dice on two potential ace pitchers.

I think you could mix in lesser talents like C Chance Sisco (high upside catching prospect, too valuable to just be a thrown in so maybe he starts making this trade unrealistically rich), 1B Christian Walker (having a down season, but a potential 1B option to replace Lind), and 3B Jomar Reyes (powerful teenager out of the Dominican who has been performing great for his age, could be our 3B (or 1B) of the future).
