Most likely, the DSL Brewers will also complete this June 20th game while they are in the Red Sox complex tonight.

It was suspended with the Brewers batting in the top of the 3rd, up 3-1.

Speaking of suspended, one player you won't see back in that lineup from the 20th is OF Ariel Estades, which you read about in our Transaction Thread Friday.

KODAK, TN. - The Shuckers fell to the Tennessee Smokies, 6-1, on Saturday night in the middle game of the five-game set at Smokies Stadium. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak and sends Biloxi to 3-5 on its current 10-game road trip before a league-wide off day on Tuesday for the MLB All-Star Game. The Shuckers lead the current series over the Chicago Cubs affiliate 2-1. The Shuckers played their first game without shortstop Orlando Arcia, who will participate in the Futures Game on Sunday in Cincinnati.

Biloxi (8-8) struck first in the third, plating a run on a two-out RBI single from Josh Fellhauer (1x3, RBI) to bring in Adam Weisenburger (2x3, R) that gave the Shuckers a 1-0 lead. The Shuckers fell for just the sixth time in 43 games when scoring first. Weisenburger has hit four straight games.

Smokies' starter Ryan Williams (4-0) allowed only two more hits in his remaining three innings on a double to Tyler Wagner (6-4) in the fifth and a single to Nick Ramirez (1x4) in the sixth. Ramirez' single extended his hitting streak to five games The 23-year-old righty struck out five and did not issue a walk in his six innings. The 2014 draft pick has walked eight batters in 84 innings between Low-A South Bend and Double-A Tennessee and improved to 8-1 overall on the season, carrying the lowest WHIP in the minors out of the start at 0.79.

Tennessee (7-8) responded by jumping in front with a two-spot in the bottom-half of the inning. Wagner allowed the first two to reach on a single by Bryant Flete and a walk to the opposing pitcher Ryan Williams. Elliot Soto drove each home one out later to put the Smokies in front, 2-1. Jacob Hanneman added onto Tennessee's lead with a sacrifice fly to center that brought in Wes Darvill for a 3-1 advantage.

The Shuckers' starter came one out shy from recording his 11th quality start of the season, allowing three runs on seven hits over his 5.2 innings pitched with four walks and three strikeouts.

The Smokies opened the game in the eighth with three unearned runs against Jed Bradley, plating two of those runs on an error by the pitcher as he tried to cover first base on a groundball to second baseman Nathan Orf, with the ball skipping off his glove.

Biloxi will look to take its 10th series out of 11 on Sunday against the Smokies. RHP Johny Hellweg (0-1, 7.71) will make his second Biloxi start, and RHP Pierce Johnson (3-0, 1.14) will make his sixth start of the season for Tennessee. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m., with coverage beginning at 3:50 p.m. on 1240-AM WGCM, 1580-AM WPMO and the Biloxi Shuckers Radio Network. Fans can also listen to the game using the TuneIn Radio app or by going to http://www.biloxishuckers.com.

Port Charlotte, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs' (6-11, 51-36 overall) offense dominated in a 12-2 victory over the Brevard County Manatees (6-10, 35-50 overall) on Saturday night at Charlotte Sports Park.

The Charlotte offense got off to a hot start and plated six runs in the second inning against Brevard County starter Eric Marzec. With one out in the second, Jace Conrad singled to left field. Pat Blair then reached on an infield single. After Conrad and Blair executed a double steal, Maxx Tissenbaum lined out to short stop. Yoel Araujo stepped up and singled home a pair to open the scoring and gave Charlotte a 2-0 advantage. Braxton Lee then reached on a bunt single and Andrew Velazquez walked to load the bases. Kean Wong singled home two more runs on a grounder into right field. Velazquez moved to third and Wong went to second on the throw. Mike Marjama lined a two-run single into right field to complete the second-inning scoring. Charlotte scored six runs on six hits in the frame.

The Stone Crabs tacked on three more runs in the fourth against Marzec. Granden Goetzman recorded an RBI single to score Velazquez. Later in the inning, Blair singled home a pair and gave Charlotte a 9-0 lead. Blair's single ended Marzec's night.

Marzec (1-8, 5.96 ERA) took the loss. He surrendered nine runs on 11 hits and a walk over 3.2 innings. He struck out two.

Stephen Peterson came on in relief and stopped the bleeding. Peterson tossed 3.1 scoreless innings and recorded four strikeouts.

The Manatees broke the shutout in the top of the eighth when Cameron Garfield singled home Taylor Brennan. Charlotte responded with three runs in the bottom of the frame against new reliever Tyler Spurlin.

Jace Conrad recorded an RBI infield single that scored Wong. Spurlin then walked Wong to force home a run. With the bases still loaded, Tissenbaum bounced into a double play, but scored Goetzman in the process. After eight innings, Charlotte led, 12-1. Only one of the three runs charged to Spurlin was earned due to a Garrett Cooper throwing error.

Angel Ortega and Omar Garcia recorded back-to-back doubles in the ninth to complete the scoring.

Steve Ascher (6-0, 1.64 ERA) earned the win with five shutout innings. Eduar Quinonez notched his first save of the season and tossed the final four frames.

After dropping the first two games of the series, Brevard County will look to bounce back tomorrow in Port Charlotte. RHP Javi Salas (7-5, 2.95 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Manatees. Charlotte will send RHP Brent Honeywell (0-2, 8.16 ERA) to the bump. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Final: DSL Brewers 8, DSL Red Sox2 1 (Game One)

DSL Brewers Box Score

I'll admit I don't know a ton about 18-year-old Carlos Luna, but it might be time to start learning about him. He tossed a complete game (the first two innings of which came back on June 20th when the game was originally started) striking out eleven batters over nine innings and allowing only the one unearned run. He also did not walk a batter and now has 36 strikeouts compared to just four walks.

21-year-old outfielder Anderson Jesus was 3-for-5 with a double. Yerison Pena had a pinch-hit double and knocked in a run while also scoring once. Julio Mendez and Sandy Martinez each had a base hit and a walk.

Luna struck out at least one batter in every inning but the fifth

Isaac Silva got the last out of the seventh and the first out of the eighth but also allowed a hit and a walk in the eighth before being pulled for Yomelbin Almonte who gave up a sac fly that ended the game.

Marcos Pinero had the lone multi-hit game in game two, going 2-for-3 with a walk and his 10th stolen base of the season. Franly Mallen, Dilson Fernnandez and Nicol Valderrey each collected a single and a walk.

Snappers walkoff Rattlers on Saturday night

By Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Brandon Diaz had two hits, scored twice, walked twice, drove in a run, and had an outfield assist for the Timber Rattlers on Saturday night. (Wisconsin Timber Rattlers/Ann Mollica)

BELOIT, WI - Justin Higley had a big night for the Beloit Snappers as they rallied to defeat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 6-5 in eleven innings Saturday night at Pohlman Field. Higley drove in three runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the eleventh, as the Snappers rallied from a 5-1 deficit.

The Timber Rattlers bats went to work right away. Brandon Diaz and Tucker Neuhaus drew walks to start the game against Beloit starter Junior Mendez. The Snappers righty got the first out of the inning, but gave up an RBI single to Carlos Leal and an RBI double to Elvis Rubio. Wisconsin (29-58 overall, 6-11 second half) was up 2-0.

Wisconsin doubled their lead in the top of the second. Greg McCall was hit by a pitch to start the inning. Diaz doubled to left to knock in McCall. Neuhaus followed with another RBI double and the Rattlers were up 4-0.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Wily Peralta made the start for the Timber Rattlers as part of his rehabilitation assignment. He retired the side in order in both the first and second inning. Beloit got a pair of hits to start the third and Peralta came back to strikeout the next two batters before leaving on his pitch limit.

Zach Cooper took over for Peralta and gave up an RBI single to Trent Gilbert before getting the final out.

Wisconsin pushed their lead to 5-1 in the top of the sixth. McCall singled with one out and moved to second on a balk. Greg Munoz singled to left-center and McCall scored.

Beloit (33-54, 7-10) rallied to tie the game in the sixth against Zach Hirsch. A hit batsman, a single, and a one-out walk loaded the bases for the Snappers. Iolana Akau hit a hard grounder off Hirsch that deflected to Neuhaus and the Rattlers turned that into an out at first, but a run scored and the other runners on base moved into scoring position.

Higley's first big hit of the night came after the Akau grounder. The count was worked to 3-2 before Higley lined a single to center that scored both runs and the Rattlers lead fell to one run.

Higley wasn't done in the inning. He stole second with James Harris at the plate and took third on a passed ball. Harris hit a grounder near second and Munoz ranged over from short to field the ball. The pick was clean, but the throw to first was wild and Higley scored the tying run on the error.

Wisconsin's best chances to score came in the eighth and the eleventh. In the eighth, Munoz and Diaz drew walks with two outs, but Carlos Navas came out of the bullpen to get the final out. In the eleventh, Dustin DeMuth lined a pitch off the batter's eye in deep center field with two outs for a double. But, Navas got the final out there to set the stage for the bottom of the eleventh.

Luke Curtis, Wisconsin's fourth pitcher of the game, took over for Gian Rizzo, who tossed three scoreless innings. Curtis got ahead of Max Kuhn with two quick strikes. Kuhn would work the count full by fouling off eleven different two-strike pitches before walking on the seventeenth pitch of the plate appearance. Curtis got the first out of the inning on a strikeout, but Higley ended the game by lining a double on a 3-2 pitch to the gap in right-center. Kuhn raced around the bases and beat the relay throw easily to score the game-winning run.

Watching the Snappers celebrate at Pohlman Field has become a familiar sight for Wisconsin. Saturday night was the fourth time Beloit has beaten the Timber Rattlers in walkoff fashion in 2015.

Wisconsin also fell to 1-6 in extra innings this season.

Game three of the series is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Pohlman Field. Devin Williams (2-5, 3.27) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. The Snappers will have Brett Graves (7-3, 4.65) as their starter. Game time is 2:00pm.

Catch the radio broadcast of the game on AM1280, WNAM starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 1:40pm. The broadcast may also be heard on Tune In Radio and IHeartRadio.

Stephen Peterson came on in relief and stopped the bleeding. Peterson tossed 3.1 scoreless innings and recorded four strikeouts.

***

Sometimes an organization has to reward guys just because it's right, and the non-drafted lefty Peterson is 27, is in the midst of his third full season at Brevard, and it's time to bump him into the Biloxi mix, after a younger southpaw, Trevor Seidenberger, had his chance earlier and is back with the Sea Cows. Peterson has had a very consistent run in the organization.

Final: Orem 6, Helena 2

Owlz take series opener 6-2

Helena Brewers

The Helena Brewers (8-12) dropped their series opener with the Orem Owlz (16-8) at Brent Brown Ballpark by a score of 6-2 on Saturday night.

The Owlz took an early lead with a run in the bottom of the first. Hutton Moyer hit a solo home run to left off Marcos Diplan, his third round-tripper this year.

Diplan would pitch four innings, giving up two runs and five hits while striking out two. He would not receive a decision.

Trailing 2-0 going to the third, the Brewers would tie it up when Monte Harrison smacked a two-RBI single to score Jose Cuas and Milan Post. It was Harrison's fifth hit in two days.

Harrison would have to leave the game in the bottom of the fourth due to injury. Sliding for a liner in center, he injured his lower back and was pulled from the game for precautionary reasons. Omar Cotto would play the remainder of the game in his place.

The rest of the way belonged to the Owlz, as they scored four unanswered runs in the victory. Kyle Survance went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base. He now has 13 stolen bases this season to take back the Pioneer League lead in steals.

Southpaw Jake Drossner (0-1) 910th round, 2015) entered the game in the fifth with a 2-2 tie, and pitched three innings of relief. He gave up four runs (two earned) on four hits and struck out two. It was his first professional decision.

The Brewers and Owlz will face off in the second game of their three-game series Sunday at Brent Brown Ballpark. First pitch is set for 4:15 PM (5:15 Central).

Helena Box Score

RHP Marcos Diplan has been "OK", actually pretty steady for his 18-year-old season (first stateside).

David Denson, again at DH, walked twice (seven vs. 47 Helena AB's).

One hour, 57 minute mark -- The ball clanked off Belonis' glove on a routine catch, and then Belonis kicked it further away from himself, thus the two errors.

The Sky Sox held their 23rd annual Used Car Giveaway Night on Saturday, July 11th and the team decided to pull a little prank on first baseman Matt Clark. In the 7th inning, the gates swung open and onto the field came Clark's Range Rover! The Sox slugger sure was surprised as one lucky fan drove down the right field line in his car! Check it out!
