That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Perez in lineup at 3B. Has there been a subtle switch? Is Ramirez now the platoon bat with Scooter?

Glad to see as that makes sense and they need to look at Perez as much as possible. Any team wanting Ramirez probably sees him in a platoon/PH role anyway.

Why do our outfielders always seem to allow runners to advance. Not an error in the scorebook, but still a terrible play.

It's impressive that they're looking worse, way worse, than the Phillies. Well done, Brewers.

Love all the criticism of Gomez, but Parra is just about as stupid when it comes to decision making. Always tries to throw guys out. If there is a chance a guy breaks his leg half way to home he is throwing it all the way.

Starting to think umpires don't like calling the "blocking the plate" rule. Lucroy once again gets lucky in that regard. He has blocked the plate with his foot quite a few times and umpires let it slide.

Based on the comments alone, I'm surprised to see we won.

Braun and Luc a combined 7 for 10. Only a double from Brauny, and 6 singles, but it's 7 hits. I would love to see some more of that.

Quietly, Braun is starting to heat back up. After being down to a very un-Ryan Braun like .245 after the game on 6/20, he's raised his average 20 points, and the extra base hits are coming again. Seventh in the National League in home runs (15) and RBI (50).

After going 27 games without a single double or triple, in the last 47 games, he's got 10 doubles, 2 triples and 10 home runs. That would be his normal 75 extra base hits over a full season. He's hit .276 with a .901 OPS since then, and has a much better .302 BAbip (these stats do not include his three hits tonight).

I know that I'm reaching here, but in a season so bad, I need to find some positives. Braun has a good shot at 30 home runs and 100 RBI (he's slightly ahead of that pace right now). He's also been successful on 90% of his stolen base tries (9 in 10 attempts). He's at a 1.6 WAR now, and if he stays healthy, should finish with a 3.5-4.0. Not where he once was, but considering the defensive penalty he has now, he's doing pretty good. He was third in the NL MVP his second year with a 3.9 WAR. He's looking at a 3.3-3.4 oWAR at his current pace.

Bottom line? He's not the cause of our problems.

There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early

I was hoping for the #1 overall pick next June, but the Phillies are REALLY REALLY awful.

Hey, at least the draft is supposed to big real good next year.

Do we really want to be the worst team in baseball? I don't. I'm happy the guys are winning some games now. I like to watch baseball in the evenings because most of the other crap on TV isn't worth watching. I sure as heck don't want to relive the horrors we witnessed in April and May.

I'd rather have a top-5 pick than a 15th overall, just because the team won some more games that were (are) meaningless.

If the Brewers can knock some team from the playoffs at the end of the year, I'll feel better about this season. As it is, we're staring a rebuild right in the face (we are, aren't we??) and we need high draft picks more than I need to enjoy a Tuesday evening game. Just my .02.
