Milwaukee Bucks 2015 - 2016

I won't get worked up either way. I guess I'd prefer to just roll with the young guys. On the other hand, he'd be a great guy to have around them to teach them things. The deal would only be 3 years so wouldn't impede anything down the line. It would be great for marketing and selling tickets. If healthy come playoff time they should for sure get out of the first round for the 2nd time in like 30 years and a good shot at the ECF finals. If Lebron gets hurt, who knows what happens.

I really hope this doesn't happen. If it does, what's the over/under of games played over 3 seasons for Wade? I put it at 100 (out of 246).

I realize Wade isn't going to get younger, but he played 54, 62, and 74 games the last 3 years. Suddenly predicting that he'll average 33 games per season is a bit of hyperbole isn't it?

I have no idea what is in it for either Wade or the Bucks for him to play here.

He isn't coming here and we don't need him unless the goal is the 8th seed at the cost of developing our young guys.

Absolutely it's hyperbole, but what's the serious number? I was just making a point that Wade is over the hill by NBA standards and, given his history, he's not going to be there for 75 games a year. If looking for a true number I wouldn't bet the over on anything higher than 165.

Not a terrible summer league debut for Maker. 15 pts 13 boards 2 blocks.

He's raw with a capital R, but i'm drooling after watching the highlights. That dude is like Giannis a few years ago but much faster.

The guy looked unbelievable especially on D. He covers so much ground.

Hammonds must have been sweating he was there at 10 because he clearly knew something all the scouting reports didn't.

But will he score his age? :)

If nothing, Maker demonstrated that he has the athletic ability to play.

I'm really interested in seeing how Vaughn and Brogdon hold up. The Bucks really need one of these guys to be able to be in the rotation.

His D looked pretty good, but hard to give an opinion on his offensive performance. Cleveland's defense in the paint looked horrendous and if you are 7ft. that doesn't give you much of a challenge. Give him a challenge and I am betting his offensive would be pretty non existent.

His ceiling hinges on his offense. Won't take him long to be ready defensively.

Agree re a challenge. My expectations personally were pretty low though, he blew them away by a mile for the first time i've seen him play.

I didn't see the game yesterday, but I liked the Maker pick and I stand by it. He's got upside. I like his motor. I'm not sure how much bulk he will ever add but I think he can be active on D, protecting the rim, and on the glass. I think he will hit open shots.

More than anything, where the Bucks were picking, I like Maker compared to what's left on the board.

I also like Brogdon as a glue guy with character.

As for Rashad Vaughn, I never liked the pick and he's just not my cup of tea. I don't hold out much hope on his improvement. I don't care that he's young. I don't like his game even if he theoretically developed.

Details on why?

i saw a little of the game, brogdon looked good in the 1st quarter. May be a decent pick. Regarding Thon he did have some nice stats which is important because he hasn't played against any high level competition before yesterday. very encouraging

Finally watched the game. Initial thoughts on Maker, he's not the twig everyone says he is. Sure, he needs to add muscle but he already has more than I thought. He can handle the ball better than Giannis at this stage, and his jumper is pretty smooth. Just a long, athletic guy with plenty to work with.

Broxton looks like a tweener, which isn't a killer in today's NBA. But he will need to hit his 3s to be an NBA player.

I agree Vaughn doesn't impress me. I don't like his game. And if he's supposed to be a shooter, he misses wildly way too often. Hes young, anyone can improve, but I don't see much to like yet.

He'd gotten 4 stitches on his shooting index finger about 4 hours before the first SL game. I'd imagine that effected him quite a bit.

Maker with 18/18 today.

I take summer stats with a grain of salt, but 17/17 against the DLeague All Stars probably means he's at least that level. Just happy he's not overwhelmed. Passport says he's 19.. I'm going to choose to believe that and think we may have something :). At this point, our foreign scouts may need a raise. If they hit on GA and TM, that is pretty darn impressive.

He got pushed around in the post at times yesterday; that is the one area of the game he need immediate improvement on. More lower body strength.

He clearly seems to have the motor and athletic ability to make some sort of contribution right away. I hope they try to get him 10 minutes or so a game and go from there. The Bucks desperately need to improve rebounding and shot blocking and if this translates into real NBA games he will be a valuable asset.
