Perez with another nice AB that ends in a hit. Gotta keep playing this guy. You just never know..

Guy is a utility player at best...but not like we have anything better to watch so I don't mind. At least with him expectations are low so anything is a plus.

At the game. Every Twins batter has gotten into the box after the clock has expired. What's the point?

Every win a struggle. If the guy gets the bat of his shoulders on the final pitch, there's a good shot that the Brewers lose this game. Kudos to the win. All its worth this season is half price Papa Johns pizza these days. I am sure some will brag of K-Rod's non-save turning into his 16th save, but sorry, not a save situation.

Yes "save" has to be in quotes in the caption. I thought he was OK. He was ahead of everyone. The walk was bad but he didn't miss by much. He was lucky on the liners but the last 2 hits didn't sound hit all that well.

During at least 5 innings today, the Twins hitter did not follow this rule:

There shall be a maximum 2:30 break between innings. Hitters must enter the batter's box between the 2:00 and 2:15 marks. If the batter has not entered the box by 2:15, the Umpire should call an automatic strike. When the batter is set by the appropriate time and the pitcher fails to begin his windup before the conclusion of the 2:30 period, the Umpire should call a ball.

Not a single strike was called. Great job, MLB. Great job.

And when you're up by four runs in the 9th, you throw strikes and make them hit their way back. K-Rod's biggest error was the leadoff walk.

Last I checked, no pitcher in baseball with more than a handful of innings has a 0.00 ERA. All of them occasionally give up runs. Amongst the 29 pitchers with at least 10 saves this season, K-Rod is one of only five who have no blown saves. Amongst the 29 pitches with at least 10 saves this season, K-Rod is 8th (even including todays "meltdown" if you will") in ERA. Craig Kimbrel has pitched exactly one more inning than K-Rod this season, but has given up more than twice as many runs.

If it were one run then fine, but this time it was 3 hits, with a 2 run homer, and a walk. K-Rod basically was worse than Fiers entire 7 innings of work in one inning.

You've gotta be kidding me? The dude has been lights out the entire season. People complain, just to complain. If you don't like him, fine, but he's earned his paycheck this season and there's no debating that.

Leading run at the plate. K-blow looking like the choker of old.

Rodriguez had a 1.00 ERA in 27 appearances coming into the game, with a 0.778 WHIP, averaging 10.7 Ks per 9 IP, and a 4.57 K:BB ratio. He'd given up one home run....in 27 innings.

And you're freaking out because....what...he gave up a few inconsequential runs, while finishing off a Brewer win?

Seriously????????

Now his ERA is 1.61. Terrible, just terrible.

If the guy gets the bat of his shoulders on the final pitch, there's a good shot that the Brewers lose this game.

And if a giant asteroid hit the Earth tomorrow, we'd all be dead. What's your point? Do you walk around all day whining about what could have been, or are we just lucky recipients?

It's baseball. Do you know how many times in the history of this game the outcome could have changed massively "if a guy got the bat off his shoulders on the final pitch?"

There are plenty of Brewers to be irked at. K Rod has not been one of them. He's way...way...way down the list of people you should be directing your vitriol at.

With K-Rod, and I have no stats or actual proof to back this up, but it seems that anytime he is used in a non save situation, you are playing with fire...

Some of these guys, closers, just don't pitch as well out of their routine...

Getting on him in this situation is kind of pointless, he finished the game, didn't blow it, and still remains probably the most consistent guy in our bullpen all season long.

Looking at Box score, it's just asinine that the Leadoff Segura goes 0-4 and see a total of 9pitches. Sorry failure at your job. Should spend the next series batting 9th behind the pitcher as a deterrent to having 0 patience as the Leadoff batter. Now if he had at least 2 hits, okay then on seeing 9pitches. But to me in 4 PAs as a leadoff you have to have at least 1 AB last 5pitches if not 6. And if you swing at the first pitch it should be a hit or a line drive that turned in to an out.
