Just another dinger by Braun tonight.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Time to put Rogers down until we trade Lind. Needs more than an occasional start.

I want to know the last time a pitcher intentionally walked someone to get to the opposing pitcher, just to walk to pitcher to plate a run WITH two outs.

And add in intentionally walking a guy hitting .147 ... See it just isn't Brewer managers who make dumb decisions

Listening to Atlanta radio call on XM and they're moaning about everything. On and on about the home plate umpire's tight zone that's forcing the pitcher to throw right down the middle, Maldonado possibly putting a dirty ball back in play when he was out at the mound, Braun doing everything between pitches that isn't allowed anymore and the umpire doing nothing about it. There's probably more but I'm only half listening.

If the game is still a blowout in the 9th, I hope Will Smith comes in to pitch, wearing long sleeves and in between every pitch makes an obvious show of sticking his pitching hand under his sleeve and rubbing it around. Then when Gonzalez has him checked, there's nothing there of course.

Why did Lohse pinch hit for Wily?

From twitter,

Wily Peralta leaves after 4 innings with left side tightness. Michael Blazek on to pitch, leading 10-0. #MILvsATL

Blazek... no need to pinch hit for him. Hits 94 on the fastball, and can drop down to 75-76 on the curve with a really good 82 mph slider.

Something tells me (read: hopes) that when Segura comes back that Kintzler is the one going down, not Knebel.

Ryan Braun over the last 14 games has been sensational. He's hitting .362 (17 for 47), 13 runs scored, 5 doubles, 6 home runs, 20 RBI, 2 stolen bases, 9 BB and 10 Ks. His slash line? .448 OBP/.851 SLG/1.299 OPS!

He's playing like an MVP again. This is the best he's looked since 2012.
