Taylor Williams Update

I hadn't seen anything in the forum, so here's an update on Taylor Williams. Taylor continues to experience "occasional elbow discomfort", according to Adam McCalvy. He will remain at extended camp.

Having problems linger so long is concerning. Let's hope this is not something that leads to surgery.

Lingering elbow issues never seem to end well for anyone.

Well the only pitcher I remember avoiding TJ was Thornburg and he hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire since he returned this year. The Brewers treat surgery as a last resort, which is fine from a health standpoint, but it certainly drags out these issues much longer than necessary in my opinion. I'd rather have them get under the knife and return to action as soon as possible.

 

In the past it's been rest and rehab for 2-3 months and then TJ surgery anyway, so instead of losing 1 year, the player loses a year and a half.

It never seems that the Brewers approach to lingering elbow issues has never ended well for them.
