First, Aramis Ramirez is only 355 days older than I am. I used to be able to play ball 3-4 nights a week with no problems. Now I have aches and pains after I play for the first time in 10 days. The quality of my play has also been eroding over the years.

 

Second, the wife and I started the process of owning and not renting. Our searches were leading us deeper into Washington County. In late March she made me promise I would no longer play ball in Milwaukee County, especially on the south side. There are multiple reasons for her request and I agreed with all of them. I did add the condition that 2015 was exempt since I had already told two teams I was playing this year.

 

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing my plan to retire at the end of the year.

 

Not to add too much pressure, but I expect the team to rally behind this and finally deliver a championship to our great fans.
