Let's win this series! As bad as the season has been, it sure has been fun lately to watch this team. Wish this team would've showed up from the start and we'd be hovering the .500 mark and actually in this thing. Oh well, at least we can win today and take two series from the Cubbies.

I think the bad start is a blessing. If we were hovering around .500 Melvin would be liable to trade away Arcia and Coulter for a half year of some hired gun, further complicating the rebuild.

Yeah our catchers haven't done so well this season. Been pretty awful. Lucroy included.

 

I wish Rogers was at 3B today though.

Smith is the right move. It didn't work out. Braun needed a better jump but there's no guarantee he catches that. Maldy needs to make that play though. Nice relay.

It'll be interesting if this is still tied if Krod comes in. Many know he struggles in none saves situations.
