I was just trying to figure out how to post that graphic here. The Brewers released this on social media before their own website.

[sarcasm]That'll teach 'em to win two games in a row![/sarcasm]

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Maybe they were just waiting until they had a replacement lined up.

That's what I'm thinking. Strange to hire outside the org mid season. I'm sure it's happened before but I can't think of an example off the top of my head.

wow. I just worry about things. I still profess my love for Yost. I hated almost every moment of Macha's ineptitude. I enjoyed Ron. I'd like someone with a little more fire.

Dale Sveum?

Mike Guerrero?

Ron Washington?

Counsell?

I miss Mark Loretta

Be nice if they could hire someone as personable as Nedly but handles a bullpen like Macha. Roenicke was always "meh" to me.

The problems with the team go far beyond the manager and it's weird that they fired him after they won consecutive games for the first time this year and 3 of the last 4 overall.

Yeah Ron is the scapegoat....kinda like the bullpen coach that one year.

Thing is, some guy will come in and everyone will regress to the mean and he'll be called a genius....or at least he'll be called smart.

Somewhat odd timing... have they been negotiating with someone for the past several days? The way that their statement is worded would lead me to believe that whoever they go with tomorrow won't be an interim.

Thought I was reading into it too much, but this caught my eye as well. The term "replacement" used rather than "interim manager". Add that things were already lost that sending him on the road trip could not have doomed or saved his job, and it might be onto something.

It's very difficult to call for the head of a nice guy, and Roenicke seems like a genuinely nice guy. I hope he lands somewhere else in a year or two.

That said, there is something about hearing from another voice, and if another guy can get them to play better, then so be it.

Melvin should be next.
