2015-04-27 Brewers (Nelson) at Reds (Marquis), 6:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 9-6]

TooLiveBrew

RR said he liked what he saw yesterday out of Parra and Schafer. So basically he's saying that he feels those guys give the team a better chance to win right now than Braun. Parra. And Schafer. Schafer. Let that sink in for a bit. Yikes. This team is messed up

That is the reason a team managed by RR goes for extended periods of crapitude. His constant playing hunches and micro samples and going against the platoon advantage are a contribution to the struggles, not a solution. When Logan Schafer is an option before Ryan Braun then you shouldnt be managing a major league team (or one that claims to be MLB even if the current lineup resembles AAA).

This is just bad. This will be 20games in to the season and if the score finished this way the Brewers are getting almost outscored 2-1. 57runs scored to 111 given up. And 17 of these games are vs the division. The team is 3games behind the next worst team in the League and 8 games out of the 5th playoff team already. I just. Cant take the ineptitude of this team. To not pitch or bat or stay healthy. They have every single facet of the game covered that is doom for a team. Not just one area that may spell doom like Wainwright's season ending injury for StL, but literally, Batting, fielding, running, pitching, relief pitching, avoiding injuries to star players, age decline All of it.

Oh and with this loss we're looking at.

Last 2months of ML baseball vs the Division the team has gone 10-28. .263%

Outscored 168-106 avg 4.42-2.79

How much bigger a sample size do we need before managers are just canned for this? Don't care whatsoever who's hired to replace, they are all interim for the rest of the season. But its more than time for a change.

I think I remember one brewer comeback in a 9-2 game in the 9th inning, probably back in '99 or '00. I know it was the first game of a double header and I found out about it when I got back home from school.

I skipped high school and was at that game.... Jose Hernandez with the heroics against Houston. Must have been 2000. Good reference point!

Chapman is as good as it gets. Shouldn't give up 9 in the first place.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

So I didn't get to see Braun's final at bat. Did they throw him stuff low and away outside of the zone and he got himself out again? Just wondering.

Sorry, was too busy watching the Milwaukee BUCKS work their absolute tails off to beat a team with 4 max contract players on the road...as opposed to these sorry sacks. My guess is he did again by the comments above ours.

Two in the zone. Swung at at least one of them in the zone, can't recall if he swung at both. Third pitch was just off the outside corner. Honestly could've gone either way according to that Fox Trax thing. Last pitch was a 100 mph fastball down the middle but up around his shoulders. Swung right through it. No chance to make contact on it.
