2015-04-24 Cardinals (Martínez) at Brewers (Garza), 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 3-0]

That was about as bad as it gets by Lance Barrett, but still not sure it tops CB Bucknor - who has a call like that at least once a night, maybe not that obvious, but he's always making awful calls. His strike zone is the worst I've ever seen because it moves all around. He's probably behind home tomorrow night, too.

It's so hilarious to hear Mark A talk about holding the players accountable. How can you hold players accountable if you have a manager that doesn't hold them accountable?

Time after time, it's the same exact mistakes. Wouldn't be a Ron Roenicke managed team if they didn't erase a golden scoring opportunity with a couple outs on the bases.

They has 0 out when Parra came up and somehow by the time Parra's AB was over, so was the inning. Unbelievable.

Kind of strange that the leadoff runner has been on in every inning, and multiple runners on in every inning, and the Brewers have zero runs to show for it. Last inning was probably the ugliest offensive inning the Brewers have had in a week, and that's really saying something. The base running issues that have followed this team over the last however many years have never really gone away. Different night, same nonsense out on the bases. If this team considers themselves a homerun hitting team, why are they taking so many chances on the bases. Braun had a chance to bat with two runners on assuming a double play didn't wipe two of the three out.. that's a perfect scenario, but of course they had to mess it up.

It is stunning how poorly the Brewers run the bases. I've been watching Baseball for over 40 years and I've never seen a team as inept at baserunning as the 2012-2015 Brewers. I've never even heard of a team being this bad at it. Game after game these kind of mistakes happen. You are right there is no accountability.

Parra is trash too. Should've saved that money and just played Schafer.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

What happened In the 3rd? I don't understand gamedays play by play.

Did Parra strikeout, yadi get throw down to the shortstop to get Segura and then the shortstop throw to the third baseman to get garza - all in the same play? If so, why isn't it considered a triple play?

Parra isnt worth the price, but Schafer doesn't even belong on an MLB roster. Not that it really matters, not like we'd be any worse off.

It wasn't all on the same play. Garza got caught leaning toward 3rd expecting a sac bunt and got thrown out at 3rd. Then a traditional strike em out throw em out later in the AB. Pretty standard Brewer rerunning.

Little Leaguers don't screw up like this.

I was there tonight and the most frustrating thing to watch at any level of sports except maybe t-ball is when teams beat themselves. The Brewers by terrible baserunning, by failure to lay down a bunt, by lack of clutch hitting have been beating themselves for a while now. I am amazed that there has not bee some sort of a shakeup. It is predictable that you will make some mistakes but when you make the same baserunning mistakes game after game after game, that is inexcusable.

Garza needs to go. He's awful. If we're going to tank, I'd rather tank giving some of our young guys a chance to get some real Major League experience than trot this overpaid has been out there to serve up batting practice.

Isn't that the definition of insanity?

He hasn't been wonderful by any stretch but Garza wasn't the reason we lost last night.
