Anyone use Adobe Creative Cloud?

jerichoholicninja

A client I'm working with gave me their old InDesign files and they were done in Creative Cloud. I'm using CS4 so I can't do anything with them. I don't really need to use the old files as they are mainly just for reference but there will be a lot of things that are taking last year's file and changing dates and times, etc. which would make it easier to use the old files.

I've never used Creative Cloud and I don't really feel like paying a subscription for something I've always been able to buy. I also don't understand how it even works. It seems like it would be really slow and just not user friendly at all. Anyone have thoughts on it?

I use it almost daily. Works fine for me. The subscription really just gives you automatic updates instead of having to buy a new version every year.

The software itself isn't web based so it runs just as fast as usual.

So I won't need to have internet access every time I use it?

Nope

Do I download it or how does this whole cloud thing work? I'm not a fan of the cloud. I don't trust the cloud. What's wrong with the ground? It's served us well for so long.

Do you use a smartphone? Gmail? You're probably already utilizing the cloud! :)
