2015 Pre-Season BF.net Fan Community Top 25 Prospects Voting has begun

We would like to invite everyone to participate in our 2015 Pre-Season BF.net Fan Community Top 25 Prospects voting. Please take time and submit on this thread your top 25 brewer prospects. Please feel free to list any resources or news that you feel might affect voting.

 

Here are the rules:

 

1. Submit your Top 25 prospects, in order, by end of day on Tuesday, March 17.

2. You MUST submit 25 prospects. If there are only 10 or 15 or whatever, your list will not be included.

3. Rankings are determined by total points. The top prospect gets 25 points, second prospect gets 24 points, etc.

4. If you submit your list and want to change something, just add the change to the thread. I'll accept changes up to the March 17 deadline.

5. Within a few days after the deadline, we'll publish the new BF.net Community Top 25.

 

Eligibility questions:

 

- Wei-Chung Wang is eligible.

- Luis Jiménez is not eligible.

- Luis Sardinas is not eligible.

 

Important notes:

 

- Clint Coulter has shifted from catcher to outfield (specifically the Brewers are talking RF)

- Shawn Zarraga (#29) has been traded.

- Nick Delmonico (#33) has been released.

- Please note that we have two Diazs in this organization. If voting for Brandon or Miguel Diaz, please be clear who you are voting for.

- Marcos Diplan (SP) - acquired from Texas in Gallardo trade

- Kyle Wren (OF) - acquired from Atlanta in off season

- Shane Peterson (OF) - acquired on waivers in the off season

- Jarret Martin (RP) - acquired from the Dodgers in the Shawn Zarraga deal (Martin is out until the all-star break after having surgery to clean up fraying in the labrum of his pitching arm)

Can somebody with ESPN access list Keith Law's list of top Brewers prospects or is that not allowed?

I haven't really dug into the Brewers system since we were all waiting for Rickie, Prince, Hardy, and Hart but I thought I would do it for this. After reading over some prospect ratings and looking at minor league stats I have to say the system isn't that bad. I don't see any Fielder or Braun level players but there looks to be a lot of solid Hart-type and many that should at least contribute to the big league team at some point.

SRB you're on my end of the voting, I haven't posted yet but Lara is top 5 for me for sure even though he's yet to play a Pro-Ball season. I don't know if I'll come up with 25names thats why I hadn't posted yet, Will get mine in within the next week.

Gilbert Lara #1?

 

We still know nothing about the guy. Sure there are some reports, but the accuracy is questionable. The fact he is likely not to stick at SS hurts his value a little bit too.

 

If ranking purely based on ceilings I could see him #2 behind Monte Harrison in my opinion.
