With the NFL season being over for nearly a week, and winter still holding it's chilly grasp on us, our collective thoughts turn to Spring Training and the 2015 Major League Baseball season. Likewise, it's time to once again start talking about our annual Brewerfan.net Winter Meetings!

 

What are the Winter Meetings? Just an excuse for people from this forum (along with any friends or family they wish to bring) to get together for an evening and talk about baseball, and usually have some food and/or beverages.

 

Where? In past years, we had alternated between meeting in the Milwaukee and Madison areas. The past couple seasons, we have met at Friday's at Miller Park. This has seemed to work out well. There has already been some talk among the mods about doing it at Friday's again this year, but we welcome input from anyone.

 

When? Usually a Saturday night in March. We would need to figure out a date that makes sense and doesn't conflict with any holidays or major events.

 

Please use this thread to give any and all feedback and suggestions!

How about March 7? Just throwing that out there.

 

I think that might be good. The later part of March is looking pretty busy for me. March 7th works for us. Anyone else? I can call Friday's in the next couple days and get a table reserved if that's what we want to do.

For those who are thinking about it. Come join the group. It is small, friendly, and the baseball talk is rich. It is fun to be at Friday's a month ahead of opening day. The ground crew will probably have the "grow" lights on, it is an interesting view.

 

Best of all, we will be in first place, and we can think spring.

Yes, I have been to four or five of these get-togethers in the past, and they are always a great time. Plus you can put some faces to the names you see on this board on a regular basis, which is always a plus!

Please keep checking in on this thread if you think you'll be able to make it on March 7th. Again, all are welcome...you don't have to be a diehard BF.net poster or anything like that. Friends and family are welcome as well. Please note if you'll be bringing anyone else if you are coming, so we can have a rough headcount.
