I don't have the WWE network and didn't watch. How did the crowd react to Bryan losing, did they boo Reigns again so potentially forcing them to stick Bryan in WM main event somehow?

yea who knows what they'll do with Bryan and Ziggler. It doesn't really make sense to have them against each other. Maybe some kind of 4 way match for the #1 contender between them, Orton and Rollins. Would be shocked if Rollins doesn't cash in the MIB vs Reigns after the WM main event though setting up a feud between them.

Having a champ that's never around and a title only defended 3-4 times a year has no appeal for me.

 

 

I don't see how it changes with Reigns as champ. WWE rarely schedules any title matches anymore on RAW or Smackdown...they might as well cancel the shows and just hold promos because nothing interesting happens anyway.

 

Well for starters, it would at least be defended at every PPV. It's the premier belt for supposedly the premier talent and it only gets defended 3-4 times a year as long as Lesnar holds it. Sure, it's not likely to be defended on Raw, but at least they can have it around and further storylines. Paul Heyman is great, but he can really only do so much IMO.

I really would love to see him no-show for Wrestlemania, forcing Vince to go with plan B.

This would prove that giving Lesnar the belt, undertakers streak, and letting him do as he pleases was a huge mistake.

If Lesnar no shows, I want an 8 man tournament at WrestleMania to determine a new champion ala WrestleMania 4. Here would be my 8 guys in the tourney: Reigns, Rollins, Bryan, Cena, Rusev, Orton, Big Show, Sheamus.

obviously time-wise that wouldn't work since there wouldn't be enough time to add 7 matches to replace 1.

 

i guess the best that they can do is have rollins vs Reigns, but that clearly isn't as a big of a draw as Lesnar vs Reigns.

Well you would actually replace Regins/Lesnar, Cena/Rusev, Rollins/Orton with those matches. I am sure one or two of the 1st round matches would be short.

I don't think Lesnar will no-show Wrestlemania. Doing so would open himself up to a breach of contract lawsuit. I have a feeling the Wrestlemania main event will be a train wreck. With Brock heading out the door and the negative opinion towards Reigns, the crowd is going to crap all over the match.

 

In other news, Ring of Honor is returning to Turner Hall in Milwaukee on Friday the 13th. In addition to all of the ROH regulars, Samoa Joe and Trent Baretta will also be there. I have to work so I will be missing this one. I attended the last two ROH Milwaukee shows and I had a great time at both.

The main event is totally up the in air. Could end with Brock retaining staying heel with Heyman, could end with Reigns as babyface winning, could end in double turn with Lesnar retaining or Reigns winning. Could even be Rollins cashes in at the end and he leaves as champ. Love that it is impossible to predict.

I love how they are finally building up the secondary championships. Cena and Bryan help raise the status of the US and IC championships respectively.

 

Also I like how they appear to be building up the tag team division. The Ascension has a LONG way to go but it's something at least. And the Lucha Dragons looked awesome tonight on RAW.

I'm enjoying wrestling now more than I have in the past 10 years. Not to sound like a hipster, but I don't even regularly watch Raw, Smackdown, or TNA Impact. My wrestling viewing consists of Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXSTV, and NXT. I pretty much only watch WWE PPVs on the Network.

 

If you aren't watching Lucha Underground, you should be. It is by far the best wrestling program on TV.

i love NXT and am looking forward to ROH replacing TNA impact on Discover America. I rarely watch smackdown and usually start raw Raw by 9pm on DVR and can catch up by 1015 when it goes off the air.
